You aren't hearing clipping. That is impossible. You are hearing the driver being driven past its mechanical limits in its environment due to the extra power being sent to it. On most all testing devices it is impossible to test class d amplifiers due to slew rate limiting caused by the switching process. For the price I highly doubt the DD1 or any other hobbyist's s ope will be able to either.

In case you didn't look closely at the photos, the port is wrapped in suede. That is not paint.

If you look closely at the box I used a small piece of trunk liner where there was a large gap. Besides that no. You only need fiberglass. I could have just used cardboard to shape that gap but the carpet flowed nicer aroj d the curve of the bottom of the truck.

Anyone ever heard one of these?
No, there is no extra xmax. The driver is advertised as 50mm one way linear. The industry standard for a subwoofer being linear is when the sub reaches 70% of its original BL or when the suspension reaches 50% of its original compliance. Ideally you want the two to be matched through out the cone movement. If not the first if the two to reach these limits dictates xmax. Those softparts are the same as the Sundown ones. Jacob has listed Klippel results of these parts on another site and they hit 50% conpliance at ~30mm one way. Therefore it is impossible for them to be linear past this point. The cone may move more than this but it is not linear.

Tape. You will want to do two layers to insure no bleed thru.

They've got those abs vacuum formed ones that are pretty cheap.

So your looking for a soft one?

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Then you don't want snugtop. Due to their quality and tight gap clearances they will be on the higher side.

so if i understand correctly you have the center of the rca hooked up and not the outer wire? RCA's have two wires in them. The center which the positive and the outer wiring which is the negative.- subwoofer feedback help
how exactly were the rca wires attached and what wires from the rca went to which wires on the factory harness. how much voltage is coming out of the factory harness- Anyone ever heard one of these?
They are no where near linear at 50mm. The softparts are only linear to 30mm. And if the coil is long enough for 50mm excursion there would only be about 1/4-1/2 inch before the coil slammed into the backplate. Assuming there are 4 one inch thick slugs being used.- 18" zcon port area

Today was about 85 with 90% humidity. Normally in August it'll be 95-100 with 95-100% humidity. A/C stays at 72 around here- Welcome to the IHoP v.2

Follow the pics I posted. You will only need 4 layers of 2 ounce mat. It'll be about 3/16 thick.- 2.1 Bedroom Setup
Sure you already know this but, route the mounting holes on the back side of the baffle.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
50mm of course but what about a cheaper lens than the high end canon prime, You don't need and really won't see the benefits from the high end so why get it first when you can drop so much less money to get your goal. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-50mm-1-8-Camera-Lens/dp/B00007E7JU I am waffling on the 1/4 or 1/2.right now I have have so many shots wrecked because of lower light. So I could benefit from either. If you do start pixel peeping, the 1/2 and 1/4 are really close. The build quality of the 1/8 is really bad, and is extremely hard to use. The focus ring is a bitch. I may not have such a hard time with using the 1/4. But I got to use the 1/2 and even not knowing too much about photography it is built better. Other solution is get a better body and bump that ISO up to combat the low light. The canon doesn't have an auto ISO feature?- best sq sub under $300
The suspension and BL products are within .1mm which is uncommon among most product. It just goes to show the design effort put into the driver. It has an xmax rating of 21.9mm at 20% distortion which is the standard rating. (20% distortion is inaudible)- best sq sub under $300
No I'm sorry they are under 200 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-512 - subwoofer feedback help
