  1. Still an on going project. Some MMAG subs that will work with the limited spider landing on the 12 spoke baskets are being machined right now.
  2. if they were tested outside the vehicle in approximated locations you would be able to tell if its just shitty speakers, cabin gain, reflections, xovers, power levels, ect.
  3. I'd be curious to see what they looked like not installed in the vehicle
  4. Had a shitty day today. Dug through 5,000 5lb samples (literally) to find 148 5lb samples that needed to be freighted to a client. Then had to put tamper proof deals on each and every one and package them into 5 150lb packages. Took 10 pucking hours. Then had to wait an hour for the 18 wheeler to get there which of corse. Did not have a lift gate.
  5. If you use bazooka marine 6.5's I have some ABS vacuum formed enclosures I can ship to you. If you want to use only one amp it can be done with relays.
  6. They ship via their own enclosed trailers as well.
  7. They are in Blair, Nebraska.
  8. And even with the Chrysler supplier plan it'll be more...without the performance mods. That being said, I can get a used one and modify it and still lease it. I found the Woodhouse pages on both the Vipers and the dealership, but see no 'street performance' section. Is it all word of mouth or do they advertise? They have a link somewhere on their page. They are one of only a handful of respectable viper and SRT dealers in the nation. They sell so much performance parts and vehicles that dodge created a special edition ACR convertible. Actual wind tunnel testing and all for the different areo than the regular ACR coupe. You can go look at viperclub.com and see that they don't fuck around. And their prices are normally cheaper than anyone else in the nation.
  9. That's retail. Only fools pay retail
  10. Warranty on a supercharged, brake kit'd, modded suspension car? I guess the non-drivetrain stuff would be covered, lolWoodhouse has their own in house performance shop. They warrantee all their work. They are the largest retailer of vipers. Both Bill the sales manager and Mark the performance manager both race vipers.
  11. Get a program car for the weekend and drive it around. It's the same chassis that you have now. It ain't like you are gonna keep it forever if it breaks it'll be under warrantee. Plus a vortech can easily go back to stock and resale values on them aren't bad.
  12. Then yes I definantly agree they would be louder on twice as much power
  13. 8 inch sub re 38.18 Fo 38.18 qts .5458 qes .5919 qms 7 vas 9.553 bl 9.14 xmax 20 mms 101 cms 168.4 spl 87.48 12 sub re 2 fo 23 qts .3534 qes .3721 qms 7 vas 94.72 bl 11.38 xmax 20 mms 156 spl 93.2 Nope don't think I forgot any. I agree with you 100 percent on being more efficient all things being equal. And yes the two 8's have quite a bit more motor force overall. But the thing I think you may be forgetting is coil weight. The two 8 cones may be close in weight to the 12 BUT. when you add the extra coil weight into the mix the BL to moving mass ratio is lost. Then you factor in the tighter syspension on the 8 168.4 uM/N versus 279uM/N on the 12 you lose more efficiency
  14. There is no correlation between power rating and the amount of excursion vs power, ever. This is a flawed comparison. Additionally, if you take two drivers with identical motors that have 1/2 the Sd of a single driver with the same motor, the pair are more efficient, always. They behave more linear and have less power compression. Additionally, if you have more motor force, all else being equal, to a given Sd, this in itself is inherent to more potential efficiency. But they don't have the same motor and they aren't as efficient Take and 8 and a 12. The 8 is designed to work in a .5 cubic foot box with a qtc of .7 and a f3 of 50. Using typical softparts weights and needed cms it will take 473 watts to hit xmax. The 12 is designed to work in a 1 cubic foot box (since we were talking same box volumes) with a qtc of .7 and a f3 of 50 it will take 745 watts to hit xmax. In order for the two 8's to compress the same amount of air as the 12 they would need 200 more watts total. You stick the two 8's in a 1 cubic foot box and the 12 in a one cubic foot box both systems on 745 watts the 8's will be at 118db at one meter and the 12 will be at 121db at one meter.
  15. Call Bill at woodhouse dodge for a price on a citadel and get Mark to throw a Paxton, some eibachs, and stop techs on it
  16. I have found the vehicle for you. Found it in a parking lot today.
  17. Yes get a base reading anywhere above 28 hertz. If it is 12db/octave the voltage should be cut in half every 3.5 hertz below 28 hertz.
  18. It doesn't matter. As long at the filter is working it is perfectly fine. If that amp is 1,500 watts and has a 28 hertz 12db/octave it would only be giving the sub 375 watts at 20 hertz. No where enough to bottom the sub free air. The obvious next step would be to use a DMM and test tones to verify the filter is working.
  19. And it's gonna take more power to be as loud with smaller drivers. Two 500 watt 8s are only gonna hit half xmax on 500 watts. One 500 watt 12 will get full excursion on 500 watts. The 12 would still be louder. You have to add power to compensate for the extra Cms
  20. Bc vas determines box volume. The box for the same cone area will still be smaller a d the port will still take up more volume.
  21. Gots a uhaul class one hitch. Magnetic ride adjustable shocks for the xmax and magnesium wheels for extra brake cooling.
  22. I know a guy that knows a guy with a 2000 vette for sale
  23. Box and port ratios still apply. Still no better.
  24. That's only 4 hertz lower than tuning. It's not gonna hurt a thing. The sub will not completely unload right below tuning. There is a reason why the filter is sloped and doesn't cut off like a switch.
