that's the exact thing that just happened to me! it was my fault though. stupid hurricane nuts. anyway's, i kinda melted the plastic with a soldering iron to fit the screw head back in and before i pushed it back, i put a dab of f/g resin. it's okay, not the prettiest fix but hey it's fixed. i checked the terminals with a dmm and everything's all good. back to building and no more sweating on my part. good luck with however you decide to remedy your problem.

thanks myron. nah my build's coming along but slow. i just put in a 360.2 though and i love it. i dunno how long i can go without a sub but the 360 really brought my mids to life. later.

probably not anytime soon unit. i love this woofer. lol i like hearing people say that's not a ten or you gotta have something else hiding in there. but if i do mayne you'll be the first to know. btw, what did you hit with yours? i have a t20001bd that i haven't put into the car yet. i wanna see what it does to the bl.
  4. abunai has a nice design.

we had a little car show yesterday and got a new score again! i finally broke a 140. 140.7 then a 141 flat. can't see it too well. it was kinda last minute for all the sound guys but we had fun. pics of some girls at the show
  6. is the chuffing caused by too little or too much port area. or is it both?
  7. lol. rings i cut in half and card stock. i couldn't find any pvc, abs, or whatever for the size i wanted so i made my own. glassed it and use kitty hair to join it to the wood. after all that planning, i'm back to the drawing board though. the cover for my hatchback is 5" lower than i thought. the damn woofer won't fit!
  8. sorry, i don't know how to resize the second pic.
  9. i'm also trying to make a box similar to this. does it matter if the bends are 90 degrees or better off rounded? i have a pic of what i'm trying and want to know if i'm doing way too much.
  10. nice score. was that car sealed and on the dash?
  11. i've been planning a new box for my 10" bl for quite sometime. is there a rule to about how far a port can be from the woofer? would it be better to have the port fire out closer to the speaker or farther?
  12. if it is a t40001bd. i'll buy the extra one.
  13. u know ****! just tossing around some possiblities because i took everything out of my car to rebuild.
  14. thank you.
  15. exactly, just wanted to get some specifics before i decide on what i'm going to do.
  16. just wanted to know if anyone on here has one and what would the mounting depth be and displacement on a fuuly loaded 10" BTL. also, how much power would i need? thank you in advance.
  17. philip replied to philip's topic in Fi Products
yes it does. i love it. i am going to rebuild though. i might need a price for a btl 10 that i can switch out with the bl. i was thinking about using a 20001bd? or if i can find a 30001. now i know what you were talking about with a dirty signal, i definitely need and want more power. i'll email you soon for a quote.
  18. nice work. one question? is that a piece of wood in the speaker whole in the third to the last pic? like a piece that separates the two ports?

right on abunai. see you there.
  23. i'm actually kind of embarrassed now that i look at what i did. i just got all excited to try something and had scrap wood laying around the shop. i know i need to get rid of those inline converters but do you guys think a 360.2 would get me around that problem or am i just putting on bandaids? still kinda want everything looking stock but i think i've been avoiding this for quite a while.
  24. lol. thanks ndmustang. i was just trippin. just wanted to try some different stuff out. i don't know why i didn't realize the port flare would increase the port area. i'm dumb. shipping on prec. ports. or aeroports is killer. more than the part istself. i just wanted to try it out before i bought it. i still really didn't try it out because its not the same. excuse me while i cry in the car out of pure ignorance. all is not lost though, i can still use that test box and use a real flared port right?
