ok so i made up this box from a website.. for those who know what they are doing can you let me know if these specs are accurate and if this will work well for the Q i went for 4 cu ft and 30hz port

im wondering the same thing i will be ordering a 15" Q and was hoping to get some help on an enclosure the box will be 4 cubic feet im not sure what to tune port to.. any suggestions? i just want it to sound best for the music i listen to.. i mostly listen to rap and R&B i was suggested to tune to 30hz but is that too low? should i go higher? i was thinking maybe 32-33hz.. i know nothing about port tuning and just wanted some help say i went with 33 hz what are the port dimesions that im looking at? thanks in advance

sorry it took so long..i havent checked this thread in a while its actually my gf's truck its a 07 toyota x-runner right now i have a 12" RF T1 sub and port face toward seats sub behind driver seat port behind pass. seat mind posting up a picture of your box? i was thinking i wanted to build a box the same way you said yours is sub inbetween both seats facing forwards pointing up at an angle... truck box style..with making the port face upwards an installer next door to my job said that its best to face sub and port same direction so then i started thinking about putting the port below the sub facing forwards i wanted the sub to be in the center of the box so you can see it inbetween the seats for cosmetic reasons but i didnt want seat to be locking the port either i wanted it in the middle too so yeah if can post up a pic that'd be koo

so..would you say now that the Q with BP option will handle as much as a loaded BL?

what do you guys recommend for a box for a 15" Q or BL? it will be in an extra cab truck.. box will be aprox. 4 cu ft tuned to about 30hz should i face sub towards seats? towards the ceiling? port facing same direction as sub?

i actually just wanted to know if you guys suggest a box size that sounds better than the rest for instance the Q 15" recommened box size is 2.8-4 cu ft out of that range is there a "best" size box? i have a rockford T1 12" and on the rockford website they have a "powerful enclosure" design thats supposed to best the best design for optimum performance from that particular sub i really want the best optimized box w/ port tuning that you guys suggest so i know if i can fit a 15" Q in my truck or if id have to go with a 12" i just want to have everything planned out before i order the sub also where do i get a shipping quote from?

are the Fi guys gonna come out with some spec sheets on some optimized boxes for the Fi line up of subs?? or have they not found that perfect box dimensions that gives the best performance out of each of the subs??

is Fi planning on releasing any new subs or any new options? just wanna know if i should wait a lil bit for something new to come out or is it safe to say nothing new will be out for a little while so i wont feel all sick when i order my sub and something new comes out

ok so it basically all comes down to this.. what is a better sub? the Q or Bl vs the TC3000 what gets the lowest? im just looking for the hardest hitting sub in my budget i know that all 3 are quality subs but this will decide which is the next sub i buy i really want to go with Fi but im hearing good things about the 3000 i know asking this question on an Fi forum might get one sided answers so what you guys think?
