  3. geeeeez pay court fees or buy killer amp ~ pay court fees or buy killer amp i think i'm losing my license
  4. it sounds like you're saying it is possible but it depends on the amp which might suck for me cause i was thinking about getting the Hifonics BXi1606D and running it at 1 ohm
  5. is there any relation? ie. would two subs showing an impedance of 4 ohms have a better chance at SQ than two subs showing 1 ohm
  6. k well the subwoofer is a 10" infinity 1030w (fantastic SQ sub) and the amp was an MTX282 i had the gain on the amp almost maxed out so that might explain the heavy current thing the tinsel lead isnt exactly hanging by a thread or two but it is pretty wiggily how the F do you fix that, the woofer is still perfectly good right except for the tinsel thing?
  7. wait why would i check the ohmagem?
  8. ooh you're fast k nevermind it wasnt the spider monkey it was actually the tinsel leads they're still connected but the wire is kinda dark near the terminals is they're a quick fix for this?
  9. but when i push on the cone or surround it works again, i'm pretty sure it has something to with the spider monkey or whatever but i'm not sure thanks
  10. they're called set screws, you can get them at any Ace hardware
  11. slaterized ROTFL
  12. thats weird, the box wizard on rockfordfosgate.com and elementaldesigns.com or completely different with those dimensions, im so confused
  13. it looks like thats for ported enclosures only
  14. i'm sure that makes perfect sense, just not to me
  15. sealed, and it has to be under 38" wide and 16" tall
  16. ive tried 3 different ones so far and ive got 3 different results using the same dimensions. all i need is .89 cu ft
  17. not sure about the 23 but my 22 runs hotter than chit and the gains about a quarter of the way up gets hot both bridged at 4 ohms and two channel at 2 ohms
  18. lakaiguy replied to lakaiguy's topic in US AMPS
the gain is set right around 4 volts and yeah the box will be ready tomorow. What is your 22 pushing?

Hey guys little intro first, my names Lucas I'm 22 and I live in Orange County California. I'm currently running a Kenwood X591 HU and the US Amps MD-22 and a pair of RE Audio SR12D4's in a way oversized and kind of sealed box (leaks like a mofo). Stock 6.5 speakers inside for now : ( I can't really give much of a review on the amp because its only about 15 minutes old, but those 15 minutes were pretty good. A little hot but good. Question though the bass remote seems to be different than others i've used. It seems like it has no relation to the actual bass boost like the one thats on the amp. So what is it actually controling and is the blue light ever gonna come back on the remote?
