  1. so im trying to figure out how to design my own boxes and learn how to use these calculators need advice on how this looks like if its right or wrong please. im looking to build a enclousre with subs up port back going into my hatchback integra. subs i will be using are 3 skar vvx 8s. ive had a couple other threads with this same thing but since i have limited space to use and want to try a aero port now. want it to be tuned either 32 hz or 33hz not sure i want to hit the lows i mostly listen to rap/hip hop and some rock but mostly rap/hip hop. please take a look and give me advice on what you guys think thanks.
  2. Glad to help a fellow ssa member
  3. Let me say this one thing I learned is by going check and doing things another way instead of doing them right the First time I would end up not being happy so I would go back and do it right and end results were ended up spending more money then I should have needed to spend in the beginning. So like I do now is of I'm going to do something ill do it right the first time its a bit more money but in the long run it ends up being the cheaper way....do sub up port back and limo tint and you will be really happy
  4. If its on sale still go for it. Buy I would prefer the fi though it needs a bit smaller box then the ssa. And I would spend the extra money on tint and actually will be help hide the sub from view protect the sub from the sun and makes your ride look better to.
  5. for the space you have have i would say go with fi x similar to the gcon but gcon needs a bit bigger box then the fi sub. and out of the 4 options you got the fi and ssa are the best and like i said for the space i would go with the fi x very underrated sub well built made in usa and you wont be disappointed. thats what i would do if i were you. coming from a hatchback car owner to lol i have a 2000 integra...my buddy had a 98 integra and had 3 of the older fi x series subs man were those things awesome and took a beating like nothing. havent tried the new versions but the way those older ones performed left me with a good taste.
  6. sub up port back would get you the best performance in a hatch i hear that what im doing on my integra hatch got 3 8" subs and im getting tints all around 5% rear and im not sure 50% or 35% front anyways as long as you got some clearance you should be fine what 12 are you going to use?
  7. you wont go wrong with fi subs very underrated subs well built and awesome subs similar to ssa subs with only difference in my opinion that that fi subs can be used in a bit smaller enclosures than ssa subs. but like ricksi30 said ssa subs are awesome to i have a 12" dcon and im happy with that way better then my 2010 model 2 12" kicker cvrs i had on my impala
  8. Have you used both the autozone/sears and xs power batts? havent used autozone battery but seen it in action they are good for a while but for car audio it wont last after a while you will get dimming lights seen that happen on my gf's brother setup. but im about to use a xs power battery on my setup. im just waiting for my terminal posts to come in tomorrow and i will be installing the xs power im yet to read anything bad about xs power and their customer service is awesome i placed an ordered for mine got the wrong battery in and they fixed the problem by setting up UPS to pick up the battery they had sent me and the same day they knew of the issue they sent the correct one over to me. kinectic battery is awesome to a buddy of mine had one on his setup and i really liked it and first was going to buy it but i wanted to try something new and also wanted to check them out myself after reading all the good reviews on them. i would say try a kinetic if you dont want to spend soo much on a xs power. in my opinion xs power and kinetic are the best 2 batteries for car audio enthusiests.
  9. Thank you I took a huge guess and went with the 580 I'm sure glad to hear I made a good guess

  11. In my opinion they are not better then xs power but if it was up to me those 2 are my only options when I'm looking for car batteries. They are both awesome batteries but xs power is the better of the 2 in my opinion.
  12. You can also try kinetic batteries they are really good and a bit cheaper then xs power.
  13. Thanks im going to try the xs power ones
  14. I just need regular old posts to hook up the integras OEM terminals onto. I tried looking and battery did come with some screws but I can't used them with the OEM terminals.
  15. I'm in need of posts to use to install the battery. I have a 2000 Acura integra ls which I'm trying to install a 5100r but can't find the correct terminal posts to use. Any advice where I can get them? Thanks
  16. Yeah I know they have a new one version of it but looking for the older one and I already have a dcon. But still want a older fi x
