  1. Build looks good. I like the floor. I can help to the think the floors helped in the DEE BEEZ department.
  2. Hey bro, it was good meeting you. Bummer it was hotter than hell. We'll need to chat more car stereo stuff when you get a chance. Maybe a little test and tune before the next show. Yeah, it was a small show. The sanctioning organization is called StreetSPL. You can check them out here. They seem to have shows in San Antonio every other month. It's pretty cool. A good reason to get together and bump the system without worrying about the police. You should come to the next show, when ever it is. Your "new to you" Nightshades will kick some a$$.
  3. Right on bro. Glad you enjoyed it. I'lll have to keep an eye out for your build. Thanks.
  4. Whaaa?! You in a Vee-Dub? I would have never guessed it. What happened? Did the dark side start offering cookies? Just messing. I have to admit, lighter colors on Caddys are better. One thing is for sure you're gonna need to update that color on yours. As sweet as it is, every time I see it, the color makes me think Ford Crown Victoria. Ughh, makes me cringe. It's a sweet Caddy for sure.
  5. Those are nice little cars. They were all the rage back in high school. Ahh, the good ol' days. Can't wait to see how you pull it off. Good luck with the build.
  6. Moment of truth. This is Usaci style, drivers side door partially open meter in the passenger side kick.
  7. Thanks. The RCAs are a few pages back. I used some Neutik ends and some microphone cable to make them. The Crescendo popped once when I first turned it on, that it. It's been flawless. Yeah the fuses do take some effort to change. Realistically, if one lets go I'd be more in a hurry to figure out why it went than changing it. Again thanks. Lol! I guess I should have gone with some 18's instead.
  8. Wow. It's good to hear you got your voltage situation sorted out. I am a little curious as to what the problem was and how you got it sorted out exactly, if you don't mind sharing. It would be good to know in case I start having the same issues. Thanks and keep on keeping on.
  9. Thanks. No worries this setup should like at least a couple of weeks.
  10. Glad to see your back making progress.
  11. LOL Yes sir, Saturday for sure, Sunday's up in the air. Stop by and say hi.
  12. I've got another walk through vid. This time its of the battery rack setup and some of the electrical connections. Let me know what you all think.
  13. Thanks. As for the wind, honestly it wasn't bad at all. It's just the dang mic on the camera is super sensitive. Glad you liked it all and thanks. I appreciate you comments about my video capturing skillz. I feel your pain about whipping cameras around, it gets to me too. As for having a preference for either a horn or a ported alignment, I have none. I just figured I try giving this nice equipment some justice and have someone with experience tailor a design for my application. I had fun building the box. I liked the challenge, and since I don't have all the equipment to do a proper job I got to meet some interesting people that helped me out along the way. Mainly the panel saw operators at the local Home Depot and a nosy neighbor with some serious table saw skills. Now that it's running it sounds all the same. At this noise level it's just violent. I guess any alignment properly done shouldn't sound like anything but the music it's reproducing. The response of this design is down to 25Hz. I set the crossover point between the subs and the mid-bass is set at 60hz. Action vids are on the way. LOL!
  14. Looks good. Nice sub. I want one.
  15. Thanks for all the kind words fellas. Glad you guys are enjoying the build. Here is a little walk through vid. It's a bit raw and the wind noise is horrific at times so careful with the volume. Hope you guys enjoy. Let me know what you all think.
  16. Finally, I'm back and running. The new alt is in, just had to improvise a bit on the replacement belt. Since I already had a longer belt lying around from my quad alt bracket mis-fit experiment. I opted to use the longer belt with the original idler pulleys the bracket came with. Any who, here is a pic of finished product. Here are some pics of the finished battery rack install. Here is a shot from the front seats looking towards the rear. Got to show the processor and front stage amp some love. Here are some pics of the subs and amp. Lastly, a little bling.
  17. So who's going, and what will you be bringing? I'll be there Saturday in the big white Suburban rocking the Warhorse and Double Deez.
  18. Rule of thumb 12-16sqin per cuft. Opps did I fart. If you want to get all scientific and you'll either have to pay someone to model up what ^^^ said or pay for and learn to use some sort of modeling software. You can go with some of the free ware out there but there is still a learning curve you've got to go through. Good luck. Hey are those woofer considered old school yet?
  19. That's pretty hardcore work there. I would have guessed you would have needed some sort of tool to keep the cutoff axle tube inline with the existing axle tube while welding. Good job, you make it look easy. I want to try now.
  20. Uh, that was 2 too many "really's". Really. :| Well, the show lands on the 22nd thru the 24th. If you can make it, shoot for Saturday the 23rd. I'd like to see as many members there as possible.
  21. Nice toes BigJon, didn't know you rolled that way. J/K! Pods kick a$$. Going to heatwave next month in Austin? I'd like to check out your setup.
  22. Looking good. Are you going to take it out the Heatwave show in Austin next month?
