  2. Yay, for progress. Can't wait to see. Yes, I also stuck home audio subs in my car. Wonk, wonk, woonnnnk.
  3. That is one mean looking mofo. Let us know how it sounds.
  4. Thanks, I will no doubtingly enjoy the beat created by this monster. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.
  5. Just came back from a little get together at GLN305's place. This setup is sweet. I'm impressed with how much output he's getting with these four little 10s in a 2ft^3 box. Nuts.
  6. Everyone thanks for the kind words. I am totally stoked about getting this bish up and running. I've got a couple more batteries to buy and I'll be able to get a build log going. Setting this amp up is just like any other, turn some knobs and bam, music at excessive levels. The trick is in the wiring of the woofers. Only dual coil subs can be used. A deal breaker for some, but no me.
  7. Awesome work on the frame. I just can't help but feel you're still miles from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am curious to see how you handle the fuel and brake lines as most of the time these run with in the frame rails. None the less, keep up the good work and leave all the worrying to me.
  8. Just about. The manual recommends eight 800 CCA batteries and two 200amp alternators. Three 1/0 power inputs and three 1/0 ground outputs, and 8ga speaker wire on a pear tree..... Opps, just got a little carried away with the holidays just passing.
  9. Yep, audiosavings gave them away for cheap. I'm gonna blow the cones off a pair of DD9515s with it. Muahahahahah!
  10. I did. Sorry Cresendo is going in my Monte Carlo, if I ever get it running.

Just got it. It's crazy big. Enjoy the pics. Yes, I am a tool. Here it is next to my Cresendo 3KWP
  12. Nice install, and impressive scores for a single twelve. I'll definitely be picking up an N2 for my ride.
  13. Here is a JBL GTi 15" next to an Ascendant Audio 15" Avalanche
  14. I want to play. Here is an Fi Audio 18" IB3 next to an old school Ascendant Audio 15" Atlas Motor shots
  15. Lucky you. We can't do anything like that here in San Antonio unless you own the land. Nothing but fences out here. Got an extra rig? I'll be over in 16hrs.
  16. In my quest for big sounds on a little funds I have noticed that it's all in the details. Today we look at 1/0 gauge ring terminals. Two for five bucks isn't going to break the bank, but when you're looking to buy 25 pairs, economies of scale need a second look. So this is what I found: Ring terminals at Amazon Now time for some pics. Some specifics. The eyelet measures 7/16"ID and just under 1" OD. The opening for the wire is at 1/2". The overall length is 2". Hope this helps, thanks for looking.
  17. Just peeking in the oven, wondering how things are cooking.
  18. Nice woofers. Love the side by side shots, very cool. I'm diggin the Fiero. Also, very cool.
  19. I'm dabbling in a SQ setup myself. It ain't easy going active, lots of amps to install. For you I recommend the JBL MS8. Yes it's a crap load of $, but it'll get you there fast when you don't know where you're going. Good luck with project.
  20. It is a bummer to hear that. Patients is virtue when recovering, especially for what you've been through. You've made it this far, take a little breather and enjoy time with those around you. Before you know they'll be driving you up the wall and back into the gym. Take care.
  21. I almost got the wife to let me buy this ^^^ after seeing it here. So many projects so little time. Bummer.
  22. Interesting to say the least. I would like to see how this unfolds.
  23. Pretty cool that everything runs off natural gas. Guess it only makes sense to use the stuff you're pumping as fuel as well. Cool beans.
