  1. Thanks everybody. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the pics. Even though this is just a toy, I really wanted to get people's imagination going with the essence of monster trucks. Share your thoughts or memories. When I was a kid growing up in El Paso I would beg my dad to take me to the monster truck and tractor pull shows. I remember getting all excited hearing them fire up in the county coliseum. I remember watching ceiling tiles some down as the trucks roared round. It was a small venue, so no big air, then again in the mid to late eighties the engineering wasn't there to support it. I was and still are, a latino redneck. I have a special respect for those who can paint. No matter what I do I just can't seem to keep the paint from seeping under the tape and ruining a sharp line.
  2. No. It'll have something to do with the way the vehicle reacts/resonates with the output of the sub/box. I'm just not qualified to make scientific statements.
  3. Hint: Retest using test tones.
  4. Nice. Any thoughts about running these daily on a low tune? Say 28-32Hz.
  5. Thanks. We don't get that many monster truck shows here in San Antonio, so I've got to improvise.
  6. You're preaching to the choir on that one brother. Before you know it you're telling yourself: "What have I done." BTW noice ride. I dabble with the on-road stuff as well.
  7. This thing is more show than go. It's got some grunt for pulling and climbing, but just enough speed for a little air and wheelies. Anything more and I'd be buying parts left and right.
  8. Here are some pics of my Wheely King Monster Truck. I'm running the stock electronics. I've got a crawler conversion in it. Most noticeable are the Juggernaut rims and tires. I narrowed the rims by cutting the inner bead mount of the rim, reversed it and slipped it back over the rim shell. This also gave me the clearance needed around the knuckle. I opted to leave the steering stock for a more scale appearance. I working on some adapters to mount the wheels. Let me know what you think.
  9. Who said you have to pay a lot for sound quality? i was just saying that for such a good price for an 18 inch sub i wanted to hear from someone who bought the sub about how it sounds.. im still debating on maybe gettin rid of my 2 mtx 9515's for 2 of those but im not sure. i love the way the 9500's sound in my car I've got a pair. They sound great. I was very easy to setup and get a natural sound out of them. There is a good amount of output as well. Enough for a good nightclub feel. It's tough to compare to the MTX 9500 with it's massive amounts of output in a box.
  10. If you're thinking about buying one look into the SPL Labs meter. Shizzon is selling them in the for sale section.
  11. In the words of the immortal Freddy Prince Sr.: "Loooooking Gooooood." He he.
  12. Nice box. Where's the woofer?
  13. Not to be a smarty pants, but try a bigger amp like the sundown 4500. Maybe an equalizer to boast the frequency you peak at? That second one might not garner much approval around these parts though.
  14. Looks like it was a good show. Bummer I missed it, although with that heat index I don't feel too bad. What's/when's the next show?
  15. For $1K if they throw all these honey's in I might be interested.
  16. Oh my! A late entry. Can someone say FAIL. Everybody, enjoy your weekend.
  17. No one ever said there was one right answer. Riddles, got to love'em.
  18. Lol! Classic. It's over dude. Someone won already. Opps, didn't read through the whole thread Lol Lol! Classic.
  19. To our winner and all of our participants goes this lovely internet web link, in which we all can continue to waste the day on the web. Enjoy. Dont even reply
  20. Here is what I was looking for: by Agafya Chase So we're talking about the shortest complete sentence in English? I proposed a sentence - I? - Yup. If you write it, it is just a letter (I) with a question mark. And if you say it, just an I with a rising tone. Usually this sentence is used by someone to confirm an order referring to him/her. For example, there are only two people in the room. And in the middle of a conversation the other person shout aloud, Go! Another short sentence which in the context means as an order to leave the conversation. I bet with a pair of irritated eyes, confused facial expression, the other person in the room would point his or her own nose and ask I? A letter with this rising tone is a way to ask for confirmation, which means You mean it? Is it really me? I can't hardly believe it! I?. That's the shortest I can get. as seen here: I?
  21. I just lol'ed at work. People around me are like WTF?
  22. Oh, man. I had to go back to the judges on this one. They came back with a, sh!t I don't know. It's a complete sentence. It makes a statement. Hell I think we found a wiener.
  23. Out of nowhere Teampapi79 comes and calls out an answer already called. Sorry. By the way, love the avatar. I catch myself doing the same facial expression every time I see it. Lol.
  24. Damn you and your mind tricks. Muhahahahah!
