Well, not that you bring up the cone area thing, I have my HPF on my fifteens at eighty Hz right now, so going from however much cone area from the two fifteens to the six and a halves is a way bigger difference than going with the 12's for that range, haha. I'm not trying to defend my point, because this wasn't too serious of a question, I just wanted to see if it was really THAT bad of an idea to do it out of boredom.

Really? Spending $125 for an amp, seems a little... iffy. But if everyone seems to agree, I might hit it up. Although, I've already been told to "Stop wasting money on cheap shit and do a proper install." on these boards, haha.

I used a pair of Skar IVX 12's for midbass? I came across an extra Two Channel amp, and bought two fifteens before my Skars came in, because I'm the worst impulse buyer, ever. Would it even work? I mean, setting my HPF on the fifteens to like, 60 hz, running the skars from 60-100, and then my components 100+? All of them on different amps, of course.

The other day I was just minding my own business, coming home from work, and all of a sudden my car's mids and highs just stop, and my car fills with smoke. Now I'm out a four channel, and the outputs on my deck burnt up, so I JUST have bass to listen to for the time being. :l Anyways, I just need a two channel to run my Type R 6.5 components up front, so they can keep up with my fifteens Previous products that you have used: Blaupunkt 470 is the only Fourchannel I've ever used. Budgetary constraints: Somewhere around $400 max. Vehicle which the equipment will be used in: 2001 Jetta, only powering one set of components. Musical preferences: Dubstep and Rap. System goals: I just want them to keep up with the fifteens, and sound decent. Nothing too special. The subs are only on 1k. List any research you have previously done: I've been pretty keen to try Arc, Crescendo, and maybe the Skar 85.4. I'm at a loss though, haha. If I'm missing anything else, just let me know. c:

Okay, so I want to upgrade my underhood battery, obviously. I was thinking about snagging up a smaller, cheaperish XS power batt for now, but I've heard that you need to run the exact battery you have up front, in the back. It had to do something with the batteries charging wrong or something, I don't know, ha. My real question is, could I pick up a smaller high quality batter for up front, and pick up a larger one for the back and be safe?

The w3 was on a four ohm load, the skars will see a 2 ohm load. The two skars were cheaper than another w3. I guess I'll just ask this, will they be fine on 400-500 watts clean power a piece, or no?

Why did you downgrade? Apparently I'm an idiot, ha. My thought process. "ERMAGERD A SALE. ON A BRAND I'VE HEARD GREAT THINGS ABOUT KINDA. I ONLY HAVE 1 12. LET'S DO TWO." ...and that about sums it up. :l

Is it just the IVX line, or should I stray away from Skar completely?

DIdn't know how to word that correctly, but I thought I saw a lot about them recently winning a lot of events.

Well, this sucks. Haha. At least tell me that I'll be happier with the IVX's than my JL W3's... :l
