Jonathan, Nice first post. I love the comment on the searching, thank you for doing this the right way. As for your question regarding the Q, your amp will be fine. Great choice actually. Considering you are going to run sealed I would pick the Q over the SSD. If you desire more output later you can just port the Q as well. I agree with both. It's nice to see people take the time to research. As far as the question at hand the Q is a real good performer.
  3. wow daylight savings time just messed with my head. remember those clocks.

  9. I think more of the new people need to learn to read before posting. I have been here over a year and just broke 100 posts. I am here daily but I know with my limited knowledge I can only help a few. I am mainly here to learn (learning don't always mean asking a million questions) and then help when I can. Maybe more new people would fair out a little better if they just take the time to read some posts?????
  10. 6000 watts, 4 subs I wouldn't be able to tell you what song was playing (but then again my ears may need some training)
  11. wow I never seen a T30000bd, I knew rockford made a T15 but damn. (haha fades off in evil laughter) oh and a amp that size might be nice mounted on the roof.
  12. depends what voice coil? if d2 I would suggest a sundown sae 1000d check out ssa store worth the little extra.
  13. Sad to say but at least I am not the only one that feels this way.
  14. been there, done that and still laughing about it.
  15. I have noticed as of late that allot of people feel they need 3000+ watts. OK I admit I would love to have a saz 3000d or 2 or 3(lol) but I also understand that I don't have the electrical to run one let alone more than one. I think allot of newer people see big numbers and think if I get that I can do this. what they fail to realize is what it takes to to properly run at these levels. now don't get me wrong I am by no means as knowledgeable as I would like to be, But I am willing to learn and have learned a great deal from this forum. For that I would like to say thanks. I guess what I am getting at is. I have done and have heard systems that sounded great, got quite loud and were well under 1000 watts. I am all for high wattage systems I love seeing them, making my ears bleed(lol) I would just like the newer people to know if you want to go big be prepared to spend the money to do so properly. just my little rant.......lol Chad
  16. I think there are better choices out there. Sundown 50.4 (could run active front stage) Sundown 1000D Mach 5 IXL 12 There is alot of great guys here who can help you out with SQ set up if thats what you really are looking for. From the choices you have there (prefab, hifonics, low end kenwood) not good for SQ I would rather buy better quality gear. I believe these are with in your budget just my opinion Chad
  17. why not 1) 18 BTL fully loaded on a saz3000?? I am willing to bet you would have more output then 3 12 BTL's on low (overrated) amps. and you would have more money to do the rest properly. Just my opinion ..........good luck
