I ALMOST bought one today! and thanks to you..... Decided to grab the Samsung, the only one with Netflix live stream capability..man what I had to go thru to get it... it's the floor display, paid full price...but I got the last one! Bought Transformers and a bunch of other movies the other day...normal DVD... opened them all but Transformers so i can take that one back, and the lady that grabbed 2012 Blu Rey grabbed 2... so I can take that back tomorrow too LOL. I'll give all the others to my friends n fam! I use hulu.com and I play my music from my PC on my HT. So how do I connect my cheap walmart PC I have to my HDTV and receiver? That was why I wanted to build an HTPC... so I can just run it all off it. just bougt NEW DENON AVR 2310 7.1 RECEIVER AVR2310 avr 2310ci $639.99 USD Thanks again Graham!

Got the VAN. Got the CAM. Got Star Trek, Transformers, and G.I. JOE. Got 2 12" ports. Who has 12" sonotube ports? I do NOT bring the cat into this. EVER! He does it all on his own! I think he's good for scaling anyway.

4 Fi Audio IB3 18's walled off 15Hz tune in a VAN BUILD LOG
Most likely a Buick Rendezevous... like last year, I'll set out tomorrow and may have one by the end of the day... but last time I ended up with an Aztek... we will see how it goes this time. I currently have 4 Adire Audio Extremis 6.4's, 2 CSS FR125S's, and 2 Vifa XT25TG30 ring radiators. I have a Kicker KX850.4 with a bad crossover on 1 channel for the 6.4's, a KX350.4 to be bridged 8ohm on the 4" full rangers, and a KX200.2 thats blown for the tweets. I can send the amps in to Kicker for repair, but I might just buy all new ZX series..IDK yet. I'll be getting some SHURiKEN SK-BT80 batteries from SicAudio, a HO alt, and proably some audiopipe ap3000d's... Alpine W200 w/ Alpine PXA-H701. I'll wall off the van with a few layers of MDF, 14" sonotube port in the center of the quad 18's... but no enclosure on the back side. I know I know... owell. After stripping it nekid, I'll use expanding foam to fill in everything I can then try to get a large quantity of resin to coat everything. Make it as air tight and rigid as possible. How sweet to pull up in the lanes and pop open the hatch and burp... unless I get more port gain with the hatch shut. This should be interesting, as the wall will divide the van into 2 chambers... the port connecting the 2... windows up IDK. Windows down, 6th order to the world. Will there be two tunings? a double impedance saddle? 2 low excursion points? we will have to see. I'm also doing an HT build calling them the Twin Towers... dual 128 cubic foot enclosures each with an IB3 18" with a 12" sonotube port starting with a 6.5Hz tune and working my way up to 15Hz. Another learning/experimenting project.

I get my new dig vid cam tomorrow! Got a new hard drive at Best Buy today, grabbed War of the Worlds while I was there... (BTW do I want to play it in DTS or Dolby Digital?) and looked at pro audio amps, PC's, monitors, flat panel TVs... and I saw a sony 7.1 770 watt strdn1000 with 4 hdmi 1080i upscaling 110rms x 7@8ohms r2d2.... any good?

Twin Towers BUILD LOG
Finances are here. Time to start ordering. PICS and VIDS to come! What is for sure: 2 Fi Audio IB3 18's, each in their own 128 cubic foot box (before displacement) with a 12" sonotube port 48" long ( to begin with, will cut down raising tuning over time) resulting in a 6.5Hz tune! Dual EP2500's or EP4000's. I am building from the floor up... scratch. I need a solid 7.1 receiver capable of more than 110 watts per channel. I plan on building MT's or MMT's designed by Kevin with Exodus Anarchy's. IDK about using a HP filter yet.. but I may go as high as 15Hz with the tune...I'll start low and have myself some fun and learn all the way up to 15Hz. I'd like some input on the receiver... THX Ultra Certified preffered.. but $500-$600ish seems a good price point. I would also like some input from you guys on a new PC with Blu Ray and whatever I'd need to run REW and connect it to a 40" LCD HDTV. I'll also be building a van walled off with 4 IB3 18's.... ported and tuned to 15Hz most likely. See the Build Log section for it's build log! Lots of batteries and amps going in there, and some Adire Audio Extremis 6.4's and CSS FR125S's! 10X's the power needed...

IB3 18" LLT 22 cubic feet 7.75" sonotube 18Hz tune underpowere
these vids are terrible. if ure not into watching very bad speaker vids, then do not watch these please. it was just something to do. my camera is terrible ( operator error, thanks Raven ) it is NOT loud like this camera makes it seem... but considering it is an IB3 18 in a box off a $40 walmart surround sound in a box receiver, it's amazing. the sound is distorted and loud so turn your volume down! This one was supposed to show the drastic difference when I get into Listening Position #1 and 2 vs the center of the room...didn't work out that way, camera just distorts it all at 2:08 you can see the Walmart recveiver LOL then right after Bass I Love You actually gets the cone moving a bit, otherwise peak excursion is around 1/2" to 3/4". At 4:20 notice the volume go up in listening position #2. The point is I get massive room gain, so if I get an EP2500 or EP4000 I will be set! lame

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalI mean compared to all the other amps out there, yeah the ones you listed are cheap pieces of shit but they will get the job done (many have use them with great results). But considering you price range those are what you have to deal with and you cant go wrong with Audiopipe or Audioque in my opinion. haha alright alright

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalnah, I have gotten a LOT of help from Wyatt, SicAudio... he has my trust! Cool. Trust is worth far more than $100 saved IMO. ya that's where I'm at. I can save $200 per amp, $400 total, but it's from an internet co, where as this guy I have been talkin to a LOT for a couple weeks, so if I have probs, I feel he will be right there to help like he has been thus far. and, he has even recommended other stuff over his a few times when applicable... more marks in my book sides, it's a huge package deal, so even "losing" some on the 2 big amps levels out with the batteries and multichannels

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalThe gp3k is imo the only amp worth looking at in the line-up. Very similar to the AB 200.1 he wants $600 for the GPV. I'm not so sure about AP, the aqx. The AQ is a touch cheaper than the GPV. Crunch Ground Pounder V 3000.1D $600 AQ3500D $550 AP AQX - i'm shaky and iffy on it. only $400 though

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricaljust heard this " The gpv30001d has the same board as the aqx35001 but the aqx has better processing for cleaner output. " edit: I replotted, and I love it. 2 MXs 40 cubic feet @ 15Hz, 6000 watts ( hoping that the GPVs will have plenty of headroom and the gains will be down a touch or a few) vs 4 MXs 40 cubes sealed 10000 watts ( 100 watts headroom per BXi) under 40mm Xmech, though I hope the suspension tightening will keep it closer to Xmax in reality

IB/Ported
depending on which you allow to enter the cabin... if you model up the sub in WinISD, going to "vent gain" will show you what you would get if you allowed the port to fire into the cabin. subtract the port gain from the total plot, should be what you would get with the subs firing in. I think I understand your curiosity here, if you allowed the port to be blocked off, yes you should have a different responce than a sealed box... desireable? IDK...

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalso I can get some more shit talk? fine. 2 21" Exodus Audio Maelstrom-X's in 30-50 cubic feet ( don't know yet, sorry) tuned to 15Hz. yep. 15Hz. Lets hear it. That's 1 of these amps per sub. anyway http://www.carmedia1.com/index1.html I'm assuming $400 here is better than $600 for a Ground Pounder 3000 PRO? Man I wouldn't trust that site with $1.25 of my money. lol yeah, I was thinking "suspect!" ya IDK what's up with that, which is why I'm still lookin and didn't lock in with him. There's a new one coming he said after CES or some show. How about Audioque 3500D $549 each to any zip code in the lower 48 States.

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalme either but I keep getting told they are the same thing, obviousely an IA label is going to be good and a Crunch label is going to be bad if they really are the same thing I was originally looking for around 2500 watts or so. I already owned several Hifonics so of course my 1st look was SAZ and BXi2608D. Fuck SAZ for 2-3 times the cost, I will take a "cheap ass POS" for 1/2 to 1/3 the cost and if it really does die, though I could send it back and get a replacement, I could also just buy 2 more for the cost of the SAZ that yeah I wish I could aford but can't. I was told to check out the AP3000, AQ2200D as well since I was looking for AROUND 2500-3000 watts IDK what youre talking about 1200, unless I did a typo, and if I did, OOPS x2000. The question is what are you going to be powering and what is your budget? Do you have the electrical to back these up also? doesn't matter what I am powering, I want to over power them for headroom and possibly do a burp here or there without worrying about clipping. I want a good 3,000 watts or more with 14V or less. Yes, electrical to back them (2) up... 6 Shuriken BT80's, HO alt. Thats the same thing I was thinking too, especially in his last topic he made (sounds like he is past confused). I wasn't. was with a BXi2610D. apparently I made a typo or something

crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1
kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalwhat I am up against, is I have a maxxsonics dealer Ive been working with. So I was comparing the BXi1210D with the AP3000D and the AQ2200D. I realized I want bigger and better, but still couldn't afford SAZ, so now I'm looking at Cruch GP3000PRO He want's $600 per crunch, and someone else wants $700 for IA40.1s but I am hearing they are the same.

kryptonitewhite replied to kryptonitewhite's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electricalguess the AP is out then, thank you. alright, good to hear..just comes down to price and availability ya ive been checkin more into that apx and a lot of ppl are running them at .5 I'll count the AP out, need 1 ohm. Dude wants $600 per GP3kPRO :-O do you have a build log? good news. I think I've gotten some pretty useful info here. if I cant post what I have been posting, then this site wouldnt be helpful anymore thank you for the heads up though!
