yea i have a 12q running at 2 ohms and this amp puts out 1250 watts to a 2 ohm load so its def not having trouble getting power to the sub.

sweet, so i turned my bass boost all the way down, my gain about 1/5th up and my hz on about 70 out of 200..and my amp still gets hot, so i seperated my ground wire from my power wire and hopefully that will help. A friend told me that might do it..? Id run a fan but then id feel like i cracker rig'd it sooo im not gonna do that.

so turn down the gain untill i get a capacitor or what do i need to do?

how do i cut down on cliping. also my cd player when it gets really loud cuts out for a second but its antishock sooo how do i resolve the clipping?

my amp has been really hot every time ive played my system..Ive had it for 2 days now. Is there a reason why this is happening, its hurts to touch if you keep your hand on it for more then 3 or 4 seconds. Only on the outsides. The amp is a zx1000 kicker. My sub is also get hot along with the amp, but not as fast and not near as hot. Is this normal..This is one of my first systems

So heres the thing. I got my Q 12' about 3 days ago and my amp just came in today. So i screwed with the gain and the hz and put the db all the way up. So im pounding really hard on the volume of 4 and my amp (Kicker Zx 1000.1) go's to 11.. I dont want to give my sub to much power on the first day. So im rollin the streets of downtown hot springs and my (thinks hes hard) friends like "dude you got your system" and im like "yea broseph its tight" and hes like "its def not as loud as mine but it looks cool, i like the fi symbol" so im like yea ok cool..(he has 2 memphis Mojo 15's powered by a lanzar)..lol..(lanzar) so anywho he turns it up (cranks it up) and hes like yeaaaaya son..So im like alright then so i hit up that white girl and blew his Sh*t outa the water. BUTTTT Thats enough for story time. The lows are insane for this system on the level i have it on my amp... but its really not touching some higher mids and highs very well at all and i know it can be fixed better then wut its at right now. How should i adjust my gain on my amp Its about 3/4 up and my hz are on about 175 out of 200..and the bass boost (Db) boost is all the way up to 18..What should i do to make it more dynamic with hitting all the notes??? If you read all this then we're def best friends..Ok leave some info or help please..love all of yall.

its a cd player as in like 80 dollars from walmart were it has 2 red black imputs so i hook'd them both up to the sub and played it and then it stopped playing so i took it out of the wall. and then just to see if the sub still worked i plugd it back up and it played so now im done untill friday when my amp gets here. i dont think it messed up my sub. I mean sound still comes out of it.

i pluged it up to my home cd player and it was playing for about 12 seconds and my cd player like cut off and restarted so i unplug'd it realy quick like. Did i mess up my sub. It looks fine and doesnt smell burn or anything soooo???? was it just the cd player..

Why did your orion at .5 only run for a month. how many rms will it be puting out to my Q and how does that kicker look at 2 ohms? the one were i posted the link two times

Wire the coils in series. Will it run at .5 loads safely for a daily use. And how much rms will it put out for my 12 Q at a .5 load. P.s Is this the one http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/p...ts_id/3012.html

How do you run an amp at half load. Explain to me a little more about that. I dont know too much. How much power will i get at a .5 load with the orion 1200d

Thank you so much. It looks like i'll be going with the hifonics. It looks to me that that amp gives out 1100rms at a 2ohm load, so that should push my sub to the max right, how will i wire it?

The amp needs to be under 280 and it must give out 1000rms at 2ohms. Im BRAND NEW to car audio, so i dint know anything at all. I ordered a Dual 1 Ohm Fi 12" Q and I'm looking for an amp to push it to its max potential. Thanks allot

Im trying to find an amp that will run with a dual 1 ohm Fi Q at maximum Power for under 300. If anyone could help me please reply and with a link. Thanks so much P.S Scott i may not have to send you back the dual 1 ohm amp for the dual 2 ohm if i can find an amp that will run according to the fi q dual 1 ohm.
