I guess you need to figure out where you want to use them and go from there.

Are you going to use it for music only if it were go in your house? If it's going to have HT duties, I'd think that tuning the box to 28Hz would be way too high. I'd tune to 20 or lower.

The silence is deafening.

Makes no difference, music or movies. Very accurate, no overhang, no bloat. No localization. It doesn't sound like a sub, it sounds like your mains are absolutely bottomless. There's also the added benefit of useful output in the single digits (Hz).

To me there's no comparison. IB is the cleanest bass you'll ever hear. I had a guy over last weekend that has a sealed 15" Sound Splinter and he couldn't believe how clean and effortless the IB was. It doesn't call attention to itself, you think that your mains are bottomless. You absolutely have to hear it to appreciate it. For the first time in my HT, I have no urge to upgrade my sub.

Yes. I can't find it, but there was a guy who used his attic for the enclosure and had 4 Avalanche 18s firing through a hole in the ceiling into his home theatre room. They like big enclosures. At least the 18s do. That was (is) me. Carl http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y290/cecaa850/

Who is administering the warranty for Ascendant audio? I realize that there is a merger with Ficaraudio. I wasn't sure if I should post the question here or at Ficaraudio's spot. Scott and I have exchanged a few e-mails as I have been trying to isolate my problem. He has been EXTREMLY helpful, especially considering how busy he must be. Now that I know which driver I'm having issues with and what part failed, I'm curious which vendor will help me and if the 3 year warranty is still valid. I've got my driver boxed up and ready to ship, just wondering where it'll end up. Carl
