i think they sound like a nice spl sub... but if your getting a btl means that you dont really care about sq juzz to get loud

the icon, mag will be your best choice.. but get the icon for better sq and spl.. the mag is 70% sq 30% spl..

hey whats good.. im looking to make another box... i want to know what will be better for my subs... i have a pair of re audio sx 12 inch that i want to build a spl box and i have 6 12s for everyday driving.. for pwoer i have a kicker kx2500.1 and a hifonics bxi2006d so let me know what will be the best box.. and the best style of box.. right now im running a crx style box with flared port on my 6 12s and like i want to know where will be the best position of the subs and ports if its posibble thanks oh the sx i want it for spl but also to handle some music heres my current box i have 2 subs on the sides keep in mind that is some kind of like a push pull design on my current box

the phantom has almost same dampening results as a regular competition car( not an extreme car with layers of cement)

and the rolls royce phantom has even more

i have to disagree with you my friend. some cars comes with already good amount dampening material already installed some doesn't come with not eve at least a decent amount of dampening material. and if your going with a small system and your car comes with a decent amount of dampening material you really dont need more since the beginner set up will never make your doors or roof really rattle. and even your doors speakers with the factory dampening material will never pick up unwanted peaks or door resonances. when your car is not equipped with dampening material or it comes with cheap like some ford vehicles just come with a really slim layer of plastic you do really need dampening material... when i put the parenthesis i had this in mind. if you want u can take alook again or i will psot it again.. "(when needed)" i guarantee you ///m5 can show that no car (save maybe a real highend bmw or mb) comes with enough sound deadening. and with his taste, setup, even with a single 8 subwoofer, he will dampen the hell outa a vehicle. he's after absolute perfection. the box for his single 8 weighs in at over 90 pds, so it doesn't flex. while i'll agree that for most basshead installs, sound deadening isn't of upmost importance, bor someone like ///m5 who is after serious sq, it is indeed. and i agree with ///m5, today's cars don't have enough damping from the factory. you can never have too much, unless your chasing tenths on a meter. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yeah msot cars only come witha thin layerof plastic dampening material liek i said on my last post.

i know sound dampening is very helpful i know what sound deading do to cars interior exterior and acoustics. but there has been some cars that offered an option sound dampening option where they put tons of dampening material and from there if you have a small system you really will not be needing more. and they are maninly in high end cars, like mercedez, some Cadillacs and Lincolns or any other high end cars. thats why i put the parenthesis (when needed) but most of the time you really need it.
