  1. It's been done before by a buddy of mine, don't worry! I will re-enforce it!
  2. I cant believe I just did this That isn't me btw. That's my roommate.
  3. those doors are ugly! hahaha. ...Even with two jumpers, I'd still recommend more, so many runs to the front, but that's so much less than in the power in the back, I never get why people do so many runs from back to front but short hand themselves else ware.
  4. did some shopping, got a nice metal bar to help support what metal I will be cutting out. oh and 2 sheets of mdf.
  5. alright tear-out complete! attack of the giant finger!
  6. IS this for a house or your car?
  7. Yeah I will be cutting that metal out, I guess I gotta brace it! I will be using 1-2 Sundown 3000D's depending on how well they handle 187 watts, to 300 watts if I wire the amp to a low low ohm load. I'll try it at 1 ohm and see if they get close to their mechanical limits.
  8. I've decided to take the fiberglass out. This has been some battle.
  9. The lines mark about where I need to cut the metal so that the baffle can fit.
  10. Oh man, this is a pain in the butt trying to cutout. I'm surprised my sawzall is holding up. It's getting hot as hell, and the batteries and blades are getting hot. Damn!
  11. Well no, because it fires inside the mouth of the baffle. The opening has less surface area than the speakers. and if I open the trunk it'd be a true IB...but I will be stuffing it with polyfill to help dissipate those back waves. i'm not worried about what it's called, it's called my setup, and I was just looking for a title to entertain you guys.
  12. try a remote turn on, 12volt relay.
  13. Clamshell designs at like bandpass boxes, I didn't have the room for a congruent baffle. However, this enclosure will not be sealed, it'll be open to the trunk/area outside of the cabin.
  14. What the trunk used to look like...at one point:
  15. An A.A. avalanche, then a tc sounds lms 5400.
