  1. So what about the front stage, suggestions, I was looking at the goldwood heavy duty 8's I have about .4 ft3 in each door and I am decent at fiberglass, I have not done speaker boxes though, only EV and longboard stuff. max speaker size is 8"
  2. Now that I have a Sub picked out (XCON). I need help with powering it. What amp should I get, I am totally clueless when it comes to amplifiers except I should get a class d for sub duty. Budget is 350$ but would go up to 400$.
  3. my competition is a JL W7 13 and I want to blow this out of the water in Sound Level and Sound Quality. I listen to Metal, Rock, Country, Reggae, Dubstep, Electronica, Swing, Jazz, Alternative, and a little bit of rap and orchestra.
  4. I was leaning toward the xcon. Also what's bm sub and why do you say i want the BL not the Q
  5. I read the original post wrong I think, I thought he also doubled the power to accommodate the new sub, which would give 3 more.
  6. currently standard height daily driver, soon to be dropped 3"/4" just waiting on my local parts store to get 3" blocks in. For the SQ part I haven't figured that out yet I figured I would figure the SPL to get a target for what it has to keep up with.
  7. big 3 upgrade 1/0 1 ad244 alternator Only stereo part I have now is a cheap kenwood headunit. I listen to almost anything, (in no particular order) rock, various metal, country, alternative, rap, jazz, swing, orchestra, punk rock (old), dub step, electronica, and reggae.
  8. yeah Lubuntu
  9. These are the subs I am looking at: SSA XCON 18 http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/xcon-18-sound-solutions-audio-18-1750w-xcon-series-subwoofer.html Ascendant Audio Havoc 15 http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/havoc-18-ascendant-audio-18-1250w-havoc-series-subwoofer.html Incriminator Audio Death Row 18 http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/death-row-18-incriminator-audio-18-1000w-death-row-series.html Fi audio Q18 http://store.ficaraudio.com/q18/ Dayton Audio HO 18 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-472 Which would you choose and why.
  10. adding another subwoofer will increase your spl by only 6 db in a perfect world. if you want to "feel the bass" there are tactile tranducers, they increase the perceived bass by vibrating whatever they are attached to. They need about 20-40 watts each. you might want to look into these, however a custom built box made specifically for those subs would be where I would begin.
  11. So If I wanted to ask about this where would I ask.
