  1. i would like to try it but im going with a single 12 and the gcon's box would have to be a little bigger than i have room for
  2. its for a single 12. i have the cd player and amp ordered. going to be putting those in friday and picked up stuff to make the box. just have to order the sub now. probably going to go ahead and do the box to make sure i get it right before the subs gets here so i can just wire it up and try it when it gets here
  3. i guess ill just have to make the depth a little steeper to make sure it fits
  4. ill be moving the passenger seat up a little when i dont have anyone in there but want my seat leaned back on the box so i would need the port firing up or out the side. thats why i thought the aero is the easiest way for me to go
  5. ive got a family member with a shop with a table saw and all the tools in his shop who i can get to help me with it. the designs and dimensions are the things killing me. i am confident in taking my time and constructing the box right but like you said i cant get the designs i need
  6. alright well now im completely confused. do i need like 2 4" aero ports firing up to make more port area?
  7. i thought you needed 12 to 16 inches of port area per square foot. how would i need 35 square inches for such a small box?
  8. i was kind of the same way. i tried contacting fi with no response. i heard they were switching locations or something and were very busy so i had to go in another direction :/
  9. i guess it was too big but box dimensions were 43 wide 9 deep 14 tall
  10. im gonna go with the ssd , 10 or 12 most likely the 12. i think aero port because i think i would be able to do that better because i dont have any experience with a slot port
  11. i downloaded the torres box tuning calculator and it gives all the cut pieces you need and everything put it has it where you put in for slot ports. if anyone can help me out and give me the rough dimensions i need to put in to the port pieces i can get everything cut and put together i just dont know about getting the port dimensions right
  12. i think the ssd has 20 xmax and i want about 33 or 34 hz. how much port area do i need? i wouldnt think much for such a small box
  13. since it calls for up to 1.2 cubic foot the box i was suggesting is 1.3 before driver and port displacement
  14. http://www.psp-inc.com/tools.html since i need more portit says with this i could use 2 3" ports at 24 inches or 1 4" port at 20 for 34 hz, i dont really understand how all this works just trying to get the best box for the sub
