  1. Denim: yes, I am working on one, I just need a little more time to mess with the sub, try some different enclosures etc. gimme a week or so.
  2. Actually, my buddy made a vif on his cell, hes emailing today. Also, I am getting another buddies digital cam this weekend, so I'ma have fun with flex vids and such, I hope to post the cell vid tonight.
  3. Future star: I'm loving the havoc, it doesnt have quite as much upper subbass punch as my 4 tens did, probably due to the fact that the sub needs to break in a little, and the box is quite large for low freq extension. But it slams on the lower bass!! Flexes the windshield something aweful!!! Installer: Electrical is holding up fine, let me share something with ya. I spoke with Ohio Generator some time ago about an alt upgrade. He(the owner) told me that the cx-7 has a new type of alternator called the pd drive. The alt is run through the ecm, and it will direct current to where it is needed, meaning that you can get almost full output at idle. the only problem is, if you over stress it, the ecm will shut down the car. I have never shut down the car, and I've run that system at idle with ac on, at night! It is a 110amp alt from the factory, so the setup you have in mind willl work wonderfully. The car is actually fairly audio friendly. There are nice spots to run wire under and through the car, the batt terminals are set up for hooking pwer and grounds up. The only real PITA I found is the front doors-running wire to them. It SUCKS trying to get the wire into the door from the car. Thanks for the comments guys
  4. Hers my cat lovin on the havoc: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...si&img=2674 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...si&img=2676 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...si&img=2677 Build log is in the album and also in the build logs section. It is an amazing sub.... I have never seen that much window flex before in my life! It will be a while until I get the full potential out of it, as break in will take some time.

  9. It's here!!! And sexy as hell. The beast wieghs in at 35 pounds. I'l be starting the build by the weekend, shouldn't take too long as I'm going to use the enclosure I already have, and build on to it. Pics are coming, probably early next week as I dont have a digital cam, using a disposable. My cat loves it too(you'll see what I mean)

  11. Yeah, it should look great on some excursion/flex vids.......
  12. I have a set of the 6.5's, 4 inch and the midbass kit. I have the 6.5's in my car now, in the process of replacing them with diamond audio d971(7inch). The sq on the alpines is excellent, the tweeter is awesome, however as neon said, they leave something to be desired in the bass department. Also, do NOT drive them with more than recommended power if you cross over at anything less then 85hz, as the woofer will start to get smelly. They are very accurate sounding speaks, but if you want a really loud, crank'em up set of comps, you should keep shopping. If you want excellent sound, at moderate to high listening levels get the alpines. One more thing, if you do want to get the alpines and crank them up real good, get the 4 inch(spx-137r), and the Midbass kit(spx-mb17). Adding the mb kit will increase the overall power handling of the system, but it is a 3 way kit, so you will have to have some experience or a good installer to make them work for ya. Good Luck
  13. In that case, I would keep the stockers.... simply because it may actually help you resell it later on. Just toss them in the garage or shed... you never know when a spare set of 20's will come in handy
  14. Just looked on the site...20" forged aluminum. They look great too.
  15. Doesnt the srt8 already come with 18 inch rims? If so, why would you get rid of them? I believe the stock rims are chrome too(or polished aluminum)
  16. I'm going about 5 sealed, maybe a bit bigger if I have the room.... Must measure stuff!!!
  17. 100% agree!!!! There are some cars to do stuff like that to, and some you dont. IF it's a true SS, PLEASE dont tear it up. There arent that many left.
  18. Scot, Is the cone as smooth and sexy as it looked in the original AA pics? Are you going sealed or ported with yours?
  19. Havoc looks much healthier.... good news for me since I just bought one.
  20. Just ordered a Havoc 18 to replace my 4 tens. I will try to do some kind of review when I get it, although the only thing I have to compare it to will be my 4 tens. Wish me luck!!!
  21. Yeah, good point. But I have heard some AA stuff in the past, and that havoc just looks like a lot of fun! Also, I just bought the havoc, so there will be a review up soon!!
  22. Hey jimj, actually, I got my front stage covered too. I'm running alpine type x 6.5 comps right now, but have a set of diamond d971 under the bed, waiting for a home;). My thinking parallels yours
  23. I'm really leaning towards it, it is so damn sexy!! The price seems right as well, especially for what you get!
  24. Ok, this is the kind of stuff I need to know, as I'm unfamiliar with any of the products. So you think the rl-p over the havoc? Has anybody even bought a new havoc 18 yet? Thanks
