play a test tone, crank it to your highest listing volume , take a DMM set it on 12 v DC and put the red on the middle of the male and the black on the outside jacket of the rca and vuala RCA voltage

i have owned 1 of the drivers in question and i have played in depth with the other... so my statements are not with out research
no one said the Q does not or can not get loud.. your taking peoples advice about the two choices the wrong way...... the Q is a GREAT sub.. but is BEST used in BETTER hands ,... the educated hands. the skilled hands of someone with experience the Q DOES get lower... and its common knowledge .... no doubt about it.... but it does not normally suit someone that does not have the experience 9 of of 10 times.. if a inexperienced user gets the Q , it will be damaged, or not used to its extent
you would not tell a difference perfectly fine to split the signal once.
