    I have a md3d and ive dun 2400watts @14.4 so yes it does over rated power also i only have a 85amp alt but have 2 yellow tops the big 3 all 0awgu and i dont drop below 13.8 ive seen others do 2800watts w it modded and w a 300amp alt as well. To answer your question yes it does do rated power and i would love to find a couple more of them also there is different models of the md3d...there is a md3d and a md3dn as well as a merlin and a merlin 2....Also 2u diff boards one with the inputs on the side of or on the bottom..so where the usamps badge is it will be below the badge or to the right of it..i have the one thats to the right of the badge or on the skinniest panel of the amp. Hope this helps you out
