In my apartment, I got my Evo sub in the back right corner of the room. In a 4.0cu^ft @ 25hz, it seems to workout fine, but our living room is almost a perfect square. You can always just make the box and try different placements.

A subwoofer, just does what environment it's in. If you put it in a crappy, and not tuned right box. It will sound horrible and not get loud. Pretty much, you can get any subwoofer to an extent, sound decent and be loud. SQ is always different for every person, I've owned the BTL and I think they sound horrible. Did it get loud and shake my ear drums yes. I would just Get the Q and build a quality box. If you don't like it, sell it and move on to something else.

I own the 800prs, I like the 16 band equalizer. In terms of functionality it's like any of my previous pioneer head units. I comes with a mic, to apparently set it's self to your car. I didn't like the sound when I tried it. The only real issue I have with mine, is that to get your Ipod on it. You have to buy another unit, and I'm pretty sure you have to provide the extra piece it's own power. I'm actaully trying to sell it if your interested lol.
