  1. My new toy that showed up today. Pioneer deh-80prs
  2. Well looking in person they do look identical and if you didn't know the differences in the subs its fairly easy to make that mistake.
  3. Sen's such a creeper stealing my pics and posting them.
  4. Great you should be the first one on SSA to have a review then. How is your sub stage coming along? Box should be done tomorrow. Hopefully things will be installed by thur
  5. Yes I will be
  6. Sold it to DeYoung a month or so ago
  7. Pioneer deh-80prs will be here today. I'm stoked
  8. Don't know about that bolt for the batt post but they do look nice
  9. my 2 FI SP4 18s came out to $1128 and $65 to ship them both out You are in southern cali.....las vegas to southern cali is not that far. heck to oregon it was only 85 for both my 15's....he's in PA though.
  10. Meh I'm usually up till 6am
  11. No...you text me at 1am. You get my demands lol
  12. Put some black trimon that bish
  13. 100 bucks for 1 sub? damn glad I live closer to their buildhouse.
  14. I didn't think it was gonna be possible to do ported in the back. The Team NWSpl guys told me otherwise lol.
  15. Project DB 1/0 to 4g adapters on the 1100.4 Starting the box. Back wall And thats where we are at. Was a good day of good company and much bs'ing. Box will be sanded inside and out, and painted black. With adjustable ports...32hz for daily and 50hz for burping. roughly 10ish cubes after displacements.
  16. Well box will be built tomorrow. Can't wait! Heres some pics to tide you over. how everything looks below the cargo floor. It's a bit messy but I had to do what i could to get this ready for the box build tomorrow. And yes i know the inputs are above the other amp. I have a rubber mat underneath them atm till something better can be thought of. Cargo floor back in waiting on the box build. Team NWSPL shirts!
  17. For that price aren't you close to some decent amps that would allow you to be active. Or why not just use your headunit?
  18. Wait....aren't most if not all amps made of aluminum. You can't magnetized aluminum. At least I thought you couldn't.
  19. Most of the problems are either weak terminal mounts. Or a scratchy sound. The scratchy sound means something got in the coil gap. If you unscrew the middle bullet thing and spray air in there it should clear it out. But hey its a beefy little speaker for only 25 bucks. Hopefully get to hear it this week. Will be matching these with their ft1 supertweets On the crescendo 1100.4
  20. I did state the change was to go sealed and get my backseat back. I met up with some team nwspl guys and they felt we could build a ported box in the cargo area. So the box will be ported but it will be small for the zcons optimally. It will be roughly 6 cubes after displacements. We will do some straight up test because not only I but some team members are interested in the results. And Sen posted a pic of one of my problems I found today. The crescendo pa mids are a Tad bigger than the ia comps I had
  21. this is the rough sketchup...and i mean rough....of the new box....should be just over 6 cubes after displacement
  22. From the looks of it they look exactly the same tbh....just different sized coils...i could be wrong though.
  23. Update time. So next thursday I will be meeting up with some team nwspl guys to build the new box. So I had to get a rush on with the rest of this stuff. zcon on the left and sp4 on the right. xcon zcon sp4 crescendo 1100.4 bc5500 and 1100.4 This will be the placement in the spare tire area with some modifications. Lift for the 5500. Did this to run the 2/0 cable under and also so the dual inputs can safely sit over the 1100.4 With the stand in. gutting the car to run the 2/0 inside view the 3 new runs of 2/0 i ran so 4 total...this was not easy to get into the firewall cables inside. I called it good there for tonight. Was getting pretty sore with all that bending and pulling. Still gotta put everything back into place...run 1 more set of rca's and 2 more sets of wires. Install the crescendo pa mids.
  24. My first subs ever were called "thumps" that's all I remember. My sis got them at some flea market for Xmas when I was 16. I don't even remember what amp I had on them.
  25. idk if I should say this just yet, since I haven't metered it yet. But I will say this, I agree with you/ricki/liljestrend I'm going to try a few things out though, not sure when as its time consuming, but heres a list. change box with the Audible Customs box change box with Shizzzon box change ports move around all three boxes positioning If all thoese fail, then I will reomove the Arc Audio XEQ just as another variable, even though I used it at the last MECA I went to... Not really a sub for music and takes goobs of power to get loud. I tried to tell you Good luck though bro. Hopefully you can achieve what you want! thats a pretty false statement . im gonna have to step in here. the zcons sounds very good on music, ive had tons of compliments on how then sounded at shows doing demos. im no sq guy but i know when a sub sounds like poopoo on music. the zcon is not one of them. as for needing gobbs of power..... come on bro. have you seen my videos with the sae1200 before i got my DCs? dont mean to jack the thread but i dont want it going around that these are SPL only subs and cant play music. I'd just like to step in and say something since my name was brought up. Like they stated I have voiced the same concerns that they had which were: The zcons move a ton, and I mean a ton of air. But for some reason they just didn't have that "thump". Its hard to explain on the computer, heck drew couldn't even figure out what I was trying to say. Even people I demo'd it for said it sounded great and moved a lot of air but was lacking that "thump". I don't know how to explain why it was like this. Could have been my install. Who knows. Now I don't want people to think this was the reason I was switching to the sp4's. That move was purely so I could run sealed, so I could have my back seat back. And hopefully here soon I can do a comparison of the two. But back to sencheezy it seems he may have fixed his issues....grats on the trophy man!
