What would you put in it?
Funny you should mention that, yesterday I started thinkin that I am more into SPL than Sq, so I may just go with a 15" BTL. That would fit easily in the trunk. Dont know if yall have seen it yet, but the trunk if freakin massive!!! so what i am thinkin of doin is installin the amp somewhere kinda hidden, under seat if i can. I am doin a cut through in the armrest and am thinkin of puttin the port going right into this opening. The sub will face the rear of the car obviously. With this bad boy, I will def need tons of sound deadener in this heavy trunk lid. Hopefully doin this I can keep my rear tire.

sub forward port back?
what i was gonna do was subs facing away from cabin toward rear of car, like you usually see. the port was gonna face going into the cabin. i have heard that doing a baffle is a pretty good way to go and takes up a significantly less amount of room, so I may try it. I am tryin to do everything i can in order to keep the spare tire, even if that means makin a easily removable amp rack to get to it, so be it. god only knows i hate being stranded in the middle of no where with no spare.

sub forward port back?
Would it be ok to put the subs forward and port back into the car through the arm rest in the back seat. I was thinkin of doin sealed, but think i am hooked on ported enclosures. i will be doin a small cut-through behind the arm rest in the back seat where it could port into the car. what do you more experienced installers think??? Also, would I be better off using aero ports pointing into this opening or just use the basic port?

What the hell is up with sub direction
no tv's, but it certainly was nice. leather trim all in the bed, airbrushing....kind of a pity. such a nice setup and cant really even enjoy it while you drive.

What the hell is up with sub direction
I was flippin through the new issue of Truckin and had to ask this. why is it that in all these magazines, with these amazing trucks, the subs in the bed of the truck point towards the tailgate. I am assuming cause they do this there may not be a blowthrough, never really could tell. even if there was, what would be the point of pointin the subs this way? is it just show?

Ranger Blowthrough
I have a blowthrough in my 04 Ranger. It hits fairly hard, esp considering it has 2 RF 12" P3's in it, nothin to amazing.

SQ help, my first SQ vehicle
Couple quick and dumb questions. This is my first SQ vehicle and I am not sure about a couple things. I know I will be going with Q's, keep hearin these things are amazin. For SQ, what is better, sealed or ported. I was thinkin about maybe 2 12's or 4 10's. any input is good though. I want something that can possibly give me the opportunity for little competitions.

What would you put in it?
so many options. good thing i have a little time to figure it out. rims are coming first for me, then HU, speakers, and finally subs. more than likely speakers and subs will come together. I have a lot of work cut out for me though it seems. The charger i am lookin at comes with the 11 Kicker speaker set, so rippin that junk out. I think 6 10's is a little much for me, probably gonna be 1 or 2 subs. I will def. be doing a fiberglass enclosure. This is my first luxury/sports car. always had rugged 4x4's and such, so gotta do it right.

What would you put in it?
So I will be picking up one of these bad boys very soon and have no clue what to do for the system. Know i want FI obviously. I wanna know what you would pick, basically a poll minus the poll. I would love to hear any opinions on just about anything. Thanks.

why recone different sizes
hey, i am curious as to why some people want to recone one size sub with another size, like 18 reconed like a 15. I have seen numerous threads about this and am just very curious as to what this accomplishes in the end. Thanks

t215 rockford vs fi bl15
Just wanted to make sure...your subs do have the same impedence load on them? 2 Ohm's each? On second thought, if you have a seperate amp for each sub then it really shouldn't matter, nver mind.

as he said, dont mix and match. a lot of bad things could arise from doing this. each sub operates differently, so puttin them in an enclosure together could, in the end, mess them up. FI does not really warranty the subs. RF does, but if you mess it up by doing that and something does go wrong, they will not honor the warranty.

I like excessive amperage's alternators. They are based out of southern alabama. www.excessiveamperage.com I have seen people run that with around 200 to 250 amp alt. I am the type I will throw a little more money in and go with a 300 amp alt myself cause I always say better to be safe than sorry. Plus I want the option to upgrade later if I want.

t215 rockford vs fi bl15
Yeah, I would have to say get rid of it and get 2 BL's, you will get louder. Esp. if you get fully loaded ones and put about 1.5k watts on each.

t215 rockford vs fi bl15
I would beleive about 1500 watts rms is fully loaded. as to box volume size, i am pretty sure it says on their page with sub specs as well as in a pinned up post.

t215 rockford vs fi bl15
Speaking out of experience here. I have two friends with T2's. One has 12 T2 12's, the other has 4 T2 15's, hear them almost daily. I have seen the BL 15 and 18 in action and in my opinion as well as theirs, the 15 BL outperformed them in every possible aspect. I love RF, dont get me wrong, but when it comes to subs themselves, they do seem a little overpriced. I think you pay for the big flashy design that they have.

Where should port face?
Thanks truck. Yeah, I hope it all does work out. If it does, I will have to build a little enclosure for like 2 of the 18's in order to learn more about fiberglass. I should do that for my girls explorer. That way i get some good knowledge in on using fiberglass. I would prefer using it in order to airbrush my trademark tribal designs on it. that would be pimp. Another note, anyone know where I can find some good info on doing fiberglass enclosures......Thanks

Where should port face?
I will probably throw about 3k watts to each. If money permits and i get this job i am goin for at the hospital, then I will try and attempt a Meade performance and throw 4 18's in it, but that all depends on if i get this job or not.

Where should port face?
I will be building a box for 2 18" BTLs in a Tahoe. The subs will point up of course, but what about the port. Should I port up or back? I am not to sure as this is my first build for an SUV. I have heard back before, but have seen some greats like Meade do both and am unsure myself. Lastly, do you think this setup will hit real hard. Lookin for some pretty high numbers, as is everyone probably is though.
