I came to the conclusion that im probably just going to give her my old setup of 2 JBL p1222 12s in ported enclosure on my old sundown 1500d. That should be a lot better than her current setup. I already have some Fatmat an peel n seal. See how that goes first.

Ok, she currently has some piece of SH** amp i have no idea what it is. running 2 12 sony xplods in a sealed box... it sounds like trash. She listens to alternative rock sometimesRnB stuff with bass when she needs it. She drives a pontiac grand am. I'm thinking of either going with some sundown 10s or 12s. I don't know if i should have the box ported or sealed or if i should get one ten or 1 12? an im sure 600 to 1000watt mono block amp would be plenty. Just tryin to get her a decent setup away from those xplods on complete trash amp. Any advice on something like this that i'd be looking for?

ugh. well i just sound deadened both sides of the door and went to apply that MLV an cut the FF!!!!!!! out of my finger idk why there isn't a warning on that SH**?? anyways lined it all up an go to put door on an it would not line up with the screw holes for my door an i just got super fed up with everything an ripped it all off an thru it in the trash. Drove to the drive through and got a 6 pack. least the doors are deadened.

I already have 2 15's so yes i do have the space . But my box is 8cuft so i dont think it can go any bigger. I'd just get another crescendo 3500 instead . and i am happy with my setup as i said in my first post was just CURIOUS lol. Guess my actual question is if you can hear a difference between a subwoofer that has a higher max RMS rating like the ssa EVIL but ran off of the same power. So like if i swapped out xcons an put in the evils.

True that lol, what's modeling? I just tuned some settings more an played around with it sounds really good now actually. Was just curious how big of a difference an SPL woofer is. Trying a different enclosure is probably my next move if any. Also need to change vehicles soon anyway.

His other box looked as if it had a larger port with the two subs next to each other and the port on the left side maybe the box was smaller with a bigger port .

there is no other way to re position them but facing up and bigjon had his facing back i actually got my box plans from him but he has a new box since that box . there is barely any room as you can see in the pic thats all the room.

put sound deadener on the outside of the door panel an the inside panel an some foam between the speaker i suppose i did not block off the hole in the door though.

Just wanted some opinions on a good front stage for my 2000 grand marquis running 2 15" ssa xcons with crescendo 3500d. Currently using some cerwin vega HED365C 2 way component speakers up front not much mid bass at all an tried sound deadening the one door an still sounds not that great.

From my point of view of running the two xcon 15s with my sundown 1500d at 1 ohm compared to my crescendo 3500 at ohm , id say just run one of the 2500ds and ya you will barely hear a difference for what extra electrical its worth.
