Ported Box, need help!
lol I didnt, I calculated the length for 1 single port... and just wanted to put 2 in. I cant use 2.5, they only carry 2 inch and 3 inch pipe... which would be better? 2 inch pipe needs 6.8 inches long for the port. 3 inch pipe needs 16.4 inches long of port. I will probably end up sticking with a single port, but which size should I use?

Ported Box, need help!
I have made a ported box just over 1 cubic foot. This is for a 400rms, 10 inch sub. For a 2.5 inch wide pipe, I need 11 inches long for a 32 hz tune. IS IT OKAY TO USE 2 PORTS? and what type of pipe do I get? Can I just run to home depot, find a strong looking 2.5inch wide pipe, and go from there? and are 2 ports okay to use, even if there the same length?

SSA dcon 12 box
My local best buy ask for like $160-$200 per box. No thanks! I'm getting 2 customs made for free from my friend who is a professional carpenter. I could design a box later for you when I get home. Just let me know whats the max size the box can be (space limitations) and how close to SPL or SQ you want. I can give you the dimensions

Box HELP
Got it now. I raised the front and back height by 1 inch. Raised the port to 1 inch tall now. And 28 inches of port so its 33hz. Much better

Box HELP
What would be better???? 12.5x1 inch port, that goes for 27.8 inches (35hz) OR 1 (maybe 2) round ports 2.5inches, and have them be 12 inches long? (33hz) Id rahter build the sloted box, and I believe it will sound allot better than my original half inch port design

Box HELP
I thought about raising the box so I can make a 12.5 x 1inch port, but it says I need 27.8 inches of port for 35hz tune... would this possible work better? I could do that... I think I can raise the cubic feet to about 9-9.5, and tune around 35hz with 27 inches of port? This seems more reasonable. OR, 1 (or 2?) Round ports. 2.5 inch round port, 12 inches long for a 33hz tune? Is this the better option???

Box HELP
I know the box is not near optimal, but il try it out and see how I like it. Worse case, I seal it up and I now have a box that fits much better into my trunk thatn the prefabs that cant slide back more than a few inches.

Box HELP
Im looking for more output from the small space I have. Ported is the way everyones telling me to go, and Iv always agreed after hearing other systems, its just the same problem iv always had... SPACE. This is as big as a box im going to get. Its been measured and it will be free to make. Honestly I dotn care if it gets any lower than it does now, I want MORE output. *I know the ports small, but im looking for a little more. im NOT expecting a large jump in DBs. Just a small noticible difference. And im also trying to get rid of these prefab boxes that dont really fit right in my trunk. iv finally hit the chance to get a free box made. (I could always take out the port and seal it if im not happy)

Box HELP
I also thought about adding another piece on top of that. 12.5 wide, and 3 inches tall. It would add to the port area by a little but im not sure it would be worth it? Would this help at all?

Box HELP
I know the port is going to be a problem but thats really all I can do with what I have. Will it be better than the sealed prefab box im using now at least? It goes down to like 35hz before I cant hear it anymore

Box HELP
I will be building 2 of these boxes sometime in the next week. There are matched to fit my tiny trunk (00 Mustang Vert)Each is 0.86896 cubic feet, tuned to 32 or 33hz. Each will house a CompVR 10 inch sub, Seeing around 400rms each. The boxes are from a friend so they will be free. There replacing prefab sealed boxes about .8 cubes I would like to know if theres anything wrong with my design. The port is 12.5 inches wide, by half an inch tall. It extends all the way until it is half an inch from the back wall.

SA-8 V.2 SPL Enclosure
I would do something around .5-.7 cubic feet for spl Tuned around 35 Hz for more spl, but 32hz would be more resonable for everyday. Either way would be a good setup and you won't be dissapointed.

SA-8 V.2 SPL Enclosure
Small sealed = more spl. Larger sealed = deeper. Only a little tho, I would jsut find a nice sloted box

sundown e series
I can help you design a box for it, perfect specs. Just give me 24 hours (I have school)

sundown e series
oh yeah, good point. Get a used SA-12, or 2 used SA-8 subwoofers, then just go crazy Whatever you decide to go with, make sure you tune everything correctly. Nothing worse then blowing brand new subwoofers because you didn't take the time to tune it right.

Sealed box for 2 Dc level 3 15s
okay, if thats what you prefer than all power to you. If possible, you should show me a video of what those 15s can do. I am looking at the best 15s for the money and sundown and DC look pretty good

Sealed box for 2 Dc level 3 15s
Its recommended that you use 2 cubic feet for a sealed level 3 15 inch. If your going ported its recommended that you use 3 cubic feet. If possible I would go ported, much more output, since your using 2 15s I would try port it to get your moneys worth out of it. Trust me I understand the issue with trunk space, I found a cure to it tho. I am using two, separate ported boxes. This allows me MUCH more room, but im not sure about your trunk.

Sealed box for 2 Dc level 3 15s
about 2 cubic feet per chamber if you are going sealed

Ported box help!
This is the first idea, if theres nothing wrong with this idea then were good to go. My second option was putting the port on the side of the sub, but can you see now how it would be slanted down, im not sure how to calculate that and it would be harder to build. But I mainly want to know if this picture is okay? Anything might be a problem?

Ported box help!
Its just a regular vented box, so the port is on the inside. I will try to post pictures later
