  1. Thank you. This ported box will be about 1 cube, 35 Hz. (After both are made) then, I will drop in new subs. I WILL get rid of the old boxes so I will have better output. Incriminator still the way to go? Sounds good to me. I will Stoll be running about 400rms to each
  2. I can build a 3d model of this in google sketchup and post a picture of it to show you what your looking at? See if you really like it?
  3. Move the box around, change its direction, move it, and test it in different places. Also make sure your port is not too close to a wall or something. This way, if you dont manage to fix your frequency problem, you can at least find your favorite listning position
  4. Sounds good to me, if you dont want it to play all hat low I would tune a bit higher. My next set up is two SA-12s in about 3-3.5 cubic feet tuned about 33hz. I also listen to rap and 33 is low enough for me
  5. ^ thank you chill for agreeing with me. It makes sense
  6. I would go with how happy you were with your last set up. If you can't turn it up all the way cause of ear shattering bass, and you couldn't be happier, I would rebuy. Or of you think there could be something you can improve on, then upgrade. Or at least this time have the box built better (if possible)
  7. Also, can u link me a site or something where I can buy the new kickers. I will either keep my 10s or go another route if there much over $100 but I want to look into them
  8. Will do, but also realize I have a 750.2 amp. And I dont want to spend money where I do t have to... After measuring and making boxes I will decide later. Either 10s or 12s. I'm looking about 1-1.5 cubes, 35hz for each sub.
  9. Il be getting some custom ported boxes made soon
  10. Trust me, im aware my box wont help at all As soon as I get a new car il fix that, but for now im using what I have... so what do you think would be better for me? Sundown or Incrminator? Since there both the same price? I think the sundown E12 almost exactly fits my specs and RMS, but im not sure what the recomendations are for the 12 inch, I series.
  11. Incriminator Audio 12 I Series (300rms) Sundown E-12 (400rms) SKAR IVXv2 (400rms) They will be in a box slightly over 1 cubic foot (under 1 cube after the sub is in there) powered by a Kicker 750.1 amp that I believe is pushing over 800 clean watts. Dont worry, I will set the amp so its not clipping the subs. Which of these 3 would be best to go with? The sundown and Incriminator are the same price, my total raises about $40 with the SKAR. Im leaning towards the E-12... yes or no?
  12. I use to have a single box but was much smaller because of the trunk opening and shape. I can fit single boxes in much easier to use the space more efficiently. Once again, stop recommending boxes... Please! Not happening. Please! I'm happy with my set up, I just wanted to know if I could blow a little money on new 10s to increase current performance. Unless I can fit 12s... Il see *Also, if I cut a 12 hole in the box, what 12s should I use?* ...looks like SUNDOWN E-12 would be the best? And I have to say my kickers do start losing steam not far under 40hz. With the volume at my average listning level, 17 to 20, out of 50... Even 45 Hz isnt very loud. I would like a better sub.
  13. Okay thanks. Also I just checked and the boxes were more along 1 cube, not 1.2 my bad
  14. Haha, thank you. That was more along the lines of what I was looking for. I might wait for the new car to upgrade then. My new system will be ported sa-12s at about 32hz on 1200 or 1500 rms. Thanks you for the input. I guess in keep what I have. Also, my cvrs dont get all that low, would I benifit from reverse mounting them? Thank you for the help
  15. I see the point, I do. But I also saw a bunch of people recommending sundown over kicker. And wanted to know if there would be a noticable difference in my case. I believe there would be, as do others but I'm not going to base my decision off an olinion. I do appreciate the input tho, and thank you. I just wanna know about dropping in a sub, if money didn't matter, what would you drop in? The ivx, e10, or cvr?
  16. Okay. I'm going to make this as clear as possible... I need to know what cheap 10s I can upgrade with, the box for the 10 is already hitting the top of the trunk with no room to spare. No bigger subs, no bigger box, nothing like that, just new 10s. I might be able to reverse mount the subs if necessary....but money isn't that big of an issue, I just need to know a better sub that's worth upgrading to with about 800 rms. Thank you
  17. Prefab box...no room to port! I'm not changing boxes, can't happen. I'm asking what I can drop In to be a noticable upgrade. Please dont recomend the box.
  18. My current setup is in a 2000, mustang convertible. Very little room. I am using 2 seperate boxes at about 1 cube sealed. I have a kicker 750.1 amp, powering two 10 inch CVRs. My question is, what can I drop in that will sound better? Of course the cvrs are loud, but after I tuned them there just not where I would like. I am looking for a cheap replacement. I may be able to sell the cvrs to some friends to help with cost. I'm looking at the Sundown E-10, so Skar IVX 10 Would an upgrade be worth if it, if so, what subs should I get? In short: 750-800rms, 1 cube sealed (each), daily use. What to get?

  20. Height (15 inches) Width (17 inches) Depth (20 inches) Port = 2 inches wide, 27 length. Tune = 32hz 3/4 inch wood Volume = ~1.7

  22. okay, this is my box right now and it seems to work. IF IT WAS SEALED, it would be 2.24 cubic feet. 20 inches deep, 15 inches high, 17 inches wide. 27 inches of port (18 deep, 9 wide) which tunes it around 32. Would this work, there is about 1.7 cubic feet after I subtract the port. It is ment for a SA-12 which could go down to 1.5, so will this work?
  23. I am designing a custom box I want tuned at 32 hz and I am not sure if I am using these online calculators correctly. I enter my box volume and height and width of the port and it gives me the length i need to make it... my question is what is my box volume? It is with or without the port??? My box is all completly designed and ready except for the port length because I am not sure how to get my desired frequency. Here is my current box. Height= 15 inches Width= 17 inches Depth= 20 inches (I might lower depending on how much I need for port) Port height = 13.5 inches Port width = 2 inches if this enclosure was SEALED, its total volume = 2.24 cubic feet, i was aiming more toward 1.75-2 feet. but i know the port takes room. PLEASE HELP.
  24. Dodge charger trunk, here are the options, Im also open to anything somebody else could recomend. 1 dual 12 box about 4ft cubed, or 2 12 inch boxes about 2 - 2.5 cubes each ported. Subwoofers im interested in, GCON, or SA12. (or a subwoofer not much more than $200 each) Amp, a 1500rms or 1200 rms. I listen to mostly rap, heavy bass songs, and some dubstep. What should I tune my port(s) to? I was thinking 32hz What is my best option here? *My original idea was 2 seperate 2 cubic foot, 32hz boxes pushing 1200rms into 2 SA12s.*
  25. okay so il get the kicker 5.25 then so its mids and highs... I will take advice its just that iv already done so much im just trying to cheaply replace my rear speakers, im not going overkill, its not even a needed thing i just would like to enjoy a bit more sound. I dont want the "best sounding" car, i just want a loud one, and its doign good where it is but id like to fill in that hole of a speaker in the rear.
