In a proper setup they will be brutal.

That is a 900 watt amp, not an 1800 watt amp. I would suggest a ppi bk 1300 or 1800 watt amp if you want to keep your cost low while still getting a nice powerful amp.

The XCONs are bad ass, and don't need a lot of power to get loud. I had two 12's on 1300 watts total and they absolutely destroyed my car. And when I wasn't "showing off" they sounded excellent at normal listening levels. With a budget of 2k I would run less power, and make sure you have a solid front stage. You can have awesome results with your budget, but dumping it all into subs and amps that you can't properly power is not the way that I would suggest going.

Two 12's in a small enclosure would be awesome, I just have to decide if it's worth it as I most likely won't be using anymore power.

He was just looking for a free bed, 3 meals a day, and free cable TV. No one is THAT stupid. I don't know why more homeless people dont do this. Alcohol is harder to come by in jail.
