  1. What amp do you plan on using when you get a second sub? It's not difficult to recone, but it is a waste of money.
  2. LOVE the bracing in the tiny box!
  3. Very cool! I'll spread the word!
  4. You want a d2 if you are running a single sub, and want a 1 ohm load.
  5. If it's just a general question ask here.
  6. Who exactly are you trying to get ahold of? Did you order from SSA?
  7. True...but I have heard that they'll pick a model and knock out a bunch at once. I'm not positive but I do remember them doing something like that for the massive amount of holiday orders. For me I don't really care, I place my order and wait. Whether it is for a Fi sub or SSA, I just wait and think that some dudes that really know what they are doing are building a sub for me, in Vegas too! Can't beat that in my opinion.
  8. Well that's a crappy situation.
  9. Are you sure of the GS754s? Is it a 4 channel?
  10. Haha that ships pretty funny.
  11. Okay man...
  12. Probably not worth the trouble.
  13. Here^^^ is some useful info, and unless the OP can better explain what is happening "we're just throwing shit at the wall to see if any of it sticks."
  14. Did you use a scope to set your gains? If you used a scope to set your gains which I hope you did, you would want to go no louder than an offset of -6 db. Not true at all. I guess you must have figured out the orginal posters problem as you are sure quick to comment on a question that wasn't directed at you. So because you didn't direct your question at me I should let you spew misinformation? Sorry that I made you have a temper tantrum by telling you that you were wrong.
  15. I don't know how, and isnt it more than a recone, it seems the tinsel lead snapped ? I'm not sure It is just a recone, and it is fairly easy to do.
  16. Yeah....here comes obamacare.
  17. Don't do it....I hate to be honest, but judging by your previous thread you don't seem to know that much about car audio, and even if you do it is a crappy field to work in.
  18. Did you use a scope to set your gains? If you used a scope to set your gains which I hope you did, you would want to go no louder than an offset of -6 db. Not true at all.
  19. And if your sub overpowers your front stage, turn the sub amp down.
  20. What do you mean when you say "SQ"?
  21. I would definitely rule that out.
  22. Price range buddy, the gcon 15 is about 30 or so more than the ssd Well that is not a fair comparison at all. If you are really comparing those three drivers, then the SSD is the clear winner IF you have the room for a properly designed enclosure.
  23. Just realized that you are comparing a 12 to two 15's, why is that?
  24. Welcome! Between those three I would definitely narrow it down to the GCON or SSD. The Sa is a great driver but the other two are superior, I would take the GCON personally. For what it's worth I have owned all three.
