  2. Been over an hour
  3. Yeah looks great only one question, Whats the spacing on the subwoofer holes?
  4. Anyone know of any good Upstate NY Box builders, I was going to build my box myself but the Panel Saw that I was going to use is no longer available and I'm god awful with a circular saw. I'm in the Utica area to be specific willing to travel up to 1.5 hours for a good box, already have the designs courtesy of Alton. I'd also be open to out of state box builders but would have to be rather cheap due to the cost of shipping
  5. MTX Still makes (has? w/e) nice subs
  6. Was about to suggest possibly going with a 4 gauge terminal and getting 3x Of these After thinking of that though would be pretty expensive or a 2x 1/0 Gauge any something like THIS
  7. x2 Ebay from VMInnovations
  8. Got a few more packages yesterday, and today For the $42 it costed for 50 Feet of cable, I really cant complain. Hopefully will get my box done this weekend, and I'm still waiting on my fuse/fuse holder before I can wire it up...Oh and a nice day so I stand to sit outside and wire it.
  9. It will take no time at all to burn up your stock alternator or seriously damage an amplifier or something of that nature. I gave him the amount of current draw with the t1500 in his electrical thread and suggested a larger alternator either way. Doing it right the first time, ALWAYS Saves money in the long run
  10. Yeah but even at that, if the T1000 Itself is too much for your current electrical setup, you might be forced into getting a new alternator in the future....by abusing it now.
  11. Just a though, if your really concerned with your electrical system why not get a cheaper amp, and get a new alternator. Not exactly sure of your budget but the T1000 Seems to be around the $400 range. Maybe I'm wrong with this Rockford makes good Amplifiers but really, you're paying for the name.
  12. You can use the Mobile site theme
  13. Looks great, I'm not a very picky person and am 100 content with how it is now
  14. Rick considering he couldn't look around the forums for any information, as far as the "Newbie Sign IN" Section, and he didn't give ANY details besides that hes new to car audio, and wants to go boom boom. Not sure I would take this seriously ^^
  15. Mounting depth for the 15 is 8.5" http://www.soundsolu...ation/xcon.html Also not sure if you read this but http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/57413-are-you-about-to-make-a-thread-asking-about-box-design-read-this-first-design-questions-for-dummies/ Step 4 has a pretty good tutorial on designing sub woofer boxes if you wanna give it a go yourself I tried for my 2 15's and honestly I just kept getting paranoid I gonna mess something up and with MDF @ $33/Sheet Don't really want to make mistakes.
  16. Fedex decided to bring me a box (A day early) And inside that box were 2 more boxes And inside those boxes were 2 more boxes FINALLY GOT TO THE SUBWOOFERS! Hopefully I'll get a box worked out either tomorrow, or thursday
  17. Just ordered 50 feet of 1/0 gauge power wire, as well as 50 feet of 12 gauge speaker wire. Subs are in the mail Looking to get started on the box in the next few days still just finishing up on the design to be sure its accurate.
  18. or someone here could make you a design im sure. I would get 6x5 and make an adapter for whatever you plan on doing. Yeah I made a thread or help awhile back http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/57755-building-a-box-for-2-obsidian-15/
  19. Right now I have DS693 6x9" 280W 3-Way speakers up front, Not quite sure what I want to replace them with yet though, and I'm still pretty clueless about this box every time I make progress in a design I start over because I feel like somethings not right.
  20. Awaiting my 2 15" D4 Bstock Obsidians $60 Cheaper then non-bstock just hoping for the cosmetic issue to be on the side of the sub woofer you don't see, if not oh well. Also found this amp in my basement trying to find out the specs online cant find anything on it though seems really old still works though. Only thing as of now i know about it, is it's 6 channels. *Edit* Just noticed how small this amp looks compared to my cat, amps pretty long but my cat is a 18 pound fatty
  21. Now for the new, Picked up a few sheets of 3/4 MDF From Home Depot (Still trying to figure out box designs) Bought a Rockford off my sisters Boyfriend for $40 to run my front speakers, along with my HFI 1500D Picked up about 5 of these from the Junk yard hoping to cut it out for a double din dash (Jeeps have 1.5 Din stock radios)
  22. This build wont be nearly as impressive as many of the other members, and will slowly take place over time but figured I'd post anyways so I can gain criticism, and possibly help others. Ill start off with some pics my jeep, and my old system. 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo roughly 134,000 miles on it Bought it in October with around 132,000 Old RE 10" Subs (Blew them) Current Deck Corner of boxes, From old system
  23. Well as the first design I made had a flaw and you guys pointed that out, Figured I'd post this design as well and hopefully any flaws(if any) will be pointed out Gross volume: 8.537109375ft^3 Gross volume after driver displacement (0.38): 8.157109375ft^3 Port displacement: 0.813828125 ft^3 Port final tuning: 32.49hz Port length: 17.35" Net Volume: 7.23ft^3 ^^From Bitbusher
