  2. where did it say 3? It didn't I failed at reading.
  3. and 20 Hz is low what is your box tuned to?
  4. I didnt know you could wire 3 D4's subs to 4 Ohms. Everywhere I've looked online show either 2.67 Ohms or 6 Ohms
  5. Guess we shouldn't ever go to school, or car audio comps either, might meet a stranger.
  6. I don't rape butts, and don't need your money, but whatever man. damn, I thought you did that??? ... anyway, I'd give a body part to have an SSA member help me out... I've gotten offers for car helps but without money and being in my bad situation I'm stuck... but I didn't turn it down and I hope eventually I can take the guys up on their offers.... Listen to the advice at least OP Good I've been waiting for you to take me up on the offer
  7. Yeah Once I buy some straps I'll do it this way. The straps I was using are currently in use by my father and without them the box slides a bit. I built the box so I could try all 3 ways.
  8. Gotta love those OAs for the price
  9. Yeah I'm very happy with the sound they produce. Now I just need to work on my front stage before I add two more to my setup.
  10. I have a box with Subs up, Port back but I'm playing with different positions/setups to see what sounds best in my application. Rather then going with everyone else and assuming subs up, port back will sound best just because I have an SUV. This enclosure is tuned to about 30 Hz, and my Enclosure with subs up port back is tuned to about 32Hz if I remember correctly I'm too lazy to go find the thread with the design right now. So far I've concluded for me without any deader on my vehicle Subs back/Port back just gives my rear hatch a beating and creates a ton of unwanted noise. Audibly to the ears I don't notice much of a difference between subs up/port back compared to subs up/port up. I don't have access to a meter to find the differences as far as Numbers go. My current enclosure with subs/port up is close to the ceiling of my Jeep as you can see in the video though and I'm wondering how much that affects it. I might take on 1 more attempt at a box with subs/port up but have it level'd off with my rear windshield rather then blocking it.
  11. Been playing them with Port/Subs up and Have gotten some pretty decent results took a bit of video of my door flex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkaBbDk1wwY
  12. This, I cant say enough about Singers customer service.
  13. if you have the space and those are your primary goals go with more cone area (The 18)
  14. are you doing a B-Pillar or C-Pillar wall?
  15. Worry about getting a car before you worry about a system.
  16. I see you have more then 1 run going from your alternator to your battery? Just wondering whats the purpose/gain of this
  17. really high miles turns me away. im sure you could find something as enjoyable with a lot less miles 97K is really high?
  18. Finished off the sub box today and put it in my Jeep. Over the next few weeks I'm gonna test and see how subs back/port back, subs up/port up, and subs forward/port forward sound So far its looking like subs back/port back wont work due to my lack of sound deader/massive rattles.
  19. You could always do it that way and add a cheap switch from radio shack
  20. Upstate near Cuse Yeah but I only had 24" x 48" pieces of wood and in order to make a double baffle with the dimensions I wanted I would of needed a depth of 25" which was the only adjustable variable. Also I only built this box to test out sub/port position front/front, back/back, and up/up I know most say Subs up and port back is loudest but I'd like to try it out for myself. Just givin you the heads up. I really wanted to try the OAs out but the coil config I wanted was on back order for a while. They look pretty good from what you showed us. Keep the pics and vids coming! For the $$ Theyre hard to beat
