I need to get a camera .

I would but don't have a camcorder. I could borrow one...how do i go about posting a vid ? Same way as you do pictures ? Photobucket ?

Finally have an update...my computer was screwed up for a few weeks . It's good now. I got my buddies system installed finally. Man these subs are just awesome . I got a cadence zr 10 on them and boy do they get loud...serious air these 18's throw down and sound incredible . Massive low end and also tight and punchy . These are by far the best woofers I have bought for the money . They are tearing the explorer up...massive roof flex...rear hatch flex...just about everything . I'm very happy with them so far . How long do they take to break in ? They have been in for about a week and seem to get louder every day ? I'll post some pictures of the final install soon

Sure will . It might take a little longer now...he backed into a pole the other day . The trucks in the body shop now .

Thanks...you don't need many tools . Just a good saw and a drill or nail gun and maybe some clamps to help you out I had about 15 hours on this box total .

Yes...i'm going to use a marker around the outside edges of the carpet to touch up the glue left behind . I think i'm going to leave the wood alone on the baffle . I was going to paint the cutouts black but i like the contrast of the wood and carpet

Thanks guys . I'm happy it's almost done . Now I need to decide what amp to get for these bad boys . Then more fun installing the whole system . Hu...2 sets of 6 1/2in. comps for the doors and 2 sets of extra tweets for up front...3 amps and a lot of wire lol Hopefully in a few weeks it will be all done . I want to hear these bad

Today got the woofers wired up and mounted . Still need to finish the carpeting though

Did a little of the carpet today . I would have finished but I got a defective can of glue...wouldn't spray . I guess i'll finish it up tomorrow .

Worked on it a little more today. Cut out the 4 holes and got the front baffle on . Pics : A look to see what it looks like with some holes Put some glue down to attach the other baffle Almost done . Just have to mount and wire up the woofers Oh yeah need to put some black carpet on also . Should be done tomorrow

Sweet... how does it sound ? The box i'm building now started out at 12.5 cu ft . After bracing...port...and subs it's 10 cu ft . I need to fix a few more cars today then i'll get back to working on the enclousure . I'll post more pictures

Not quite enough yet . 2 more pieces under the double baffle to the bottom of the box up and down .

44in. wide x 36in. deep x 17in. high It will be laying down in an explorer firing up

Did some more work today. More pictures A few pieces of bracing Alittle more Baffle 1 without the holes Second baffle with the holes drawn up for flush mount...just need to cut that I'll do tomorrow A pictures of one of the mj-18's I should have the woofers mounted and ready to go tomorrow . I'll post more pictures

Well I started the box today . Took a few picks Got a few sides together . Box is going to be 10 cubes tuned to 35 hz. Another side on . It's gonna be heavy Got the port in . It's going to have 138 in. of port for the 2 18's Threw a little black paint in the port Some 2x3's for lots of bracing . I just have to cut out the baffles and finish all the bracing . I should get the other 18 from UPS tomorrow and can finish most of it . Then I'll just have to carpet the big ba$tard . I'll post some more pictures tomorrow .

Well i got one of the 18's in and should have the other one in on Monday . Went to home depot today and got 100.00 worth of MDF and 2 x 3's for the box. Gonna start building the box on Monday . I'll make sure to post some pictures
