Well my ht isn't really ht. 90 % music. And also I asked about the box sizes because they seemed really small to me for some reason.

looking to use 2 Mach5Audio MAW-15's or 2 mj-18's in a downfiring sealed box for my ht. power would be coming from a behringer rack amp. what size box would be recommended for either set-up . thanks

The 12s would be louder like said but I would also go for the 15 just to only have one sub and save a couple hundred bucks for something else.

Ed is now huge thou. They are much bigger now then when they were on sin... Not that I'm a fan I just wouldn't put them with adire.

It will be installed in the lower closet area of my house. It can be as loud as it wants in there as long as its functional. The price compared to others seems to good to be true. Ill have to check out my local dealers.

any body see any reason i can't use this model amp or something close from behringer for my sub amp as long as my reciever only sends out an rca signal under 80 hertz.... http://www.behringer.com/EP2500/index.cfm?lang=eng they seem cost effective. probably with some mach 5 woofers...

if only the cloth area of the strap is is touching the glass you will be fine. a couple of racket straps over the thing and you'll be fine at comps

i understand the crossover costs but i doubt i will be willing to pay for them. i'm gonna shop around and see if i can find some older stuff. there's no reason i should or will, have to spend $500 plus box materials plus a nice set of stands. guess i'm to cheap and thought i could get a set like adire used to sell. guess i was wrong. i get cost at best buy. i'll just grab something there.

i know numical number has nothing to do with i just won't pay the $500 when i know the drivers themselves don't cost that much. there's maybe $100 into drivers per side. i just don't care about my home audio enough to spend to spend 2k on just my front stage. after a receiver, cd player, cables, box materials, tower stands, and then the 61 kit (the cheapest kit i would use) i'm almost at 2k with out adding any sub stage or amplifier or eq.

i had some vintage til my lady's cat chewed up the pucking surrounds. one of the main reasons i want towers so that damn cat cant use em for chew toys. i had no problem with building but the price kinda turned me off, i was looking for adire's old prices and those weren't so bad and yes they were 2-way but they came with assembled crossovers, 4 mids and 2 tweeters, and pretty simple box designs. exodus has the 261 which is close but is $700 for the pair and looks to come with unassembled crossovers. the 61 kit i could do with tower stands but i don't think i'd pay $500 for such a small design with only 4 drivers. maybe i'm wrong and such a small 2-way would work. i'll keep looking around at the exodux kits.
