help with front stage setup
ill admit this is more than im used to doin with installs, but ive been doing install for a few years now. i feel that my personal car should show my capabillities, as im sure you would know.. my door is too thin to to be able to make an enclosure, it has to be IB. but adjusting the driver angles shouldnt be too much trouble. im not going to be cutting any corners with the project, i just want to make sure my equipment is capable im pretty decided on the set of CDT EuroSport 4" 2-way setup to go in the kicks of my car, i heard a set in a 350z recently and i was very impressed.. so now im just deciding on my midbass driver and a capable crossover/processor.. til then i still have about 700,000 rolls of edead going in haha

G35 Coupe for LSQ whats the best choice?
well it depends on how they will be setup, all i have to fit in the trunk is work tools and school supplies, so im basically fine with just about 2cubes of trunkspace remaining, but if i do the false floor idea and use the entire spare tire airspace, i shouldnt be losing any space at all, except for batts and amps and blah blah

help with front stage setup
alright, good, thats more of the input i was after, who makes a set that size that isnt part of a 3-way component setup though? its gonna have to be pretty beefy because im going to push alot of power to them.. am i going the right direction with the Kicker SSMB8 8" midbass? or should i be using a real 8" sub and adjust it to play same frequencies? seems that the kicker cvr 8" for example(basically same specs as ssmb8 but for a woofer) has a lower frequency response and doesnt lost much up top. i havent decided for sure, but ill probably be using the memphis processer/eq... if it matters

help with front stage setup
i would ofcourse have to make a baffle to fit the 8" in the door, the backside of the speaker grill on the door panel has enough plastic to be shaved off that i can pull the midbass out 2 inches without touching the panel. ///M5; why exactly would the 8" midbass defeat the purpose of a 3 way setup? sorry if thats a noob question but it makes sense to me so.. i mean would it be more beneficial to use a actual 8" sub like the JL's? 2 sets of 6.5s of 5.25s wont give me the midbass im looking for..

help with front stage setup
im keeping the door panels factory, but i think im going to throw a set of kicker SSMB8's (8" midbass) in the doors and 5.25's in the kicks, problem is, dont know what 5.25's to use (i was thinking boston pro5's) and secondly, will just those as a front stage keep up with 145+db? the other idea was to just IB a set of 8" subs. any input would be great! thanks

High Wattage Passive Components
the Kicker SS components are very nice if you can power them, 175x4 should be enough. super loud and crisp, only complaint i have is lack of midbass

G35 Coupe for LSQ whats the best choice?
if you havent seen how small the trunk is on this car, motor trend stated specifically that it was about 7.1 cubes TOTAL! i cant lose the space under the floor because there is no other room for amps/batteries, and i have to leave about 10 inches from the box to the very back of the trunk for tools and etc. with this said, the question is; what is the best design and setup for maximum SPL with keeping it in daily drive limits? i worked up a few partial boxes and havent really made one that pleases me yet. the biggest so far is two seperates (against rear seat, L and R) 1.6 cubes, each for a 12". sub must be on a mild angle toward trunk lid. is this adequate for a sub like a mojo or loaded BL? would BTL's be out of the question? i read somewhere that the 12" BL's dont need much space to be ported, but with 1.6, is it possible to tune to low 30s? or should i ditch the 12's and put the boxes together and put 1 15" BTL (id rather not) il post some pics of the enclosures ive come up with so far if it helps.. input would be wonderful, thanks
