I am looking to et some battries. I have saz 1500 in a 2000 gmc jimmy. I was looking at kinetics, but i wasn't sure what iwould need. Feel free to name more good brands. Also what are temperest batts? Are they refurbs or sum???

I'm going to be in the market for a new sub soon, I have a 18" bl rite now, but it is time for a change. I have a sundown saz 1500d, and pioneer avhp5000dvd. Im about to buy some kinetic 1800s and anew front stage. It is all in a 2000 GMC Jimmy..... But ihave narrowed it down to 4 subs. NS 18, rl-P 18, XCON 18, or a BTL 18 . I want a decent ground pounder. Since I only have about 1500 watts that sorta cancels out the BTL.I wasn't really wanting another Fi that much anyway because since I got mine it seems like everyone around here has one and I like to be DIFFERENT...... It will be in 7-10 cubes @ 28-32hz Thanks in advance, Mikey

Look at some of the 2008 model pioneer around the net. I had a deh3900 and it had all the things u want. Oh that was 2007 series but im sure the deh4000 would be better if not the same.

I unhooked the battery cable. I believ that it is the radio, i just sent pioneer a message. Hopefully they get back to me...

No i havent tried either.

The speaker wire to the sub spared. The sub still moves in and out freely w/o scratching of the coil. It's grounded to a bolt that is underneath one of my seats. The amp still comes on. The sub just isnt getting a signal. I believe that there is a short somewhere but i don't know where. I don't know why it would have just now happened when i have and the same ground for about a year. and the same basic setup since December.

I was going to listen to my system the other day, and i turned it on when it was just about to hit it kinda shut off and started making a weird noise. Kinda high pitched noise. I took the sub out and brought to another car an ran it free air so that wasn't it. Same with the amp. I replaced the auxiliary wires and it started to work on a low level. so i turned it up just a little bit. Like up 2. Hooked it back up.(keep in mind this is back in my car running free air to see if its going to work before i put it all back together) and then it sparked and stopped working again. I have a 18" fi Bl, It was hooked up to my buddies sundown saz-1500d, and my Pioneer avh5000dvd headunit, Knuconcept 0 gauge wire. RF speaker wire and RF aux cable.

I have the pioneer deh 5000dvd, I love it. Great eq, touch screen is awesome, and the picture is great, along with the ipod controls. But it is a single din.

I didn't build it smaller for handling, but because I didn't think I had enough wood.

I just have cooling......... I almost have the box done now. Its about 7 cubes after all displacement. Sub on top Port on front, with 1" thick plexiglass window.

I was going to order another 18 soon, will there be much of a difference?

I had it in about 6 cubes before. I just started cutting the box, I'm almost done cutting now. I decided to go with abouts 8.5 cubes@30Hz.

I wouldnt say so if you lower the amount of power going to it. I have been waiting to see what a Q18 sounds like in that max spec box at 32hz. I really want to see 2 Q15s in a 8cuft box after displacement. Pics? As for pic, I'll be posting a build log up wen i get started later today.

I designed a box that is 10cuft@32hz its in a 2000 GMC Jimmy. Is that too much cuft?

Yea i kno i figured it would be about 200 bucks, but im not making the whole box plexi. I don't hane enough for that. So im just going to make like a little see through window in the box, maybe with some lights on the inside. I'm not sure yet. I'll probably hold it together with some bolts or screws. im not sure yet. When i start to build it I'll post a log up.

I got the plexi, now I just have to design a box around. I think I'm gion to use the jigsaw method with lots of oil and just let the blade cool dow aftr while so it doesnt melt. It's pretty decent size, 1"X22"X72", but it was free so i have no idea how much it would cost.
