Im in Ohio but my budget is hopefully around 200 but if i need to up that i can i just need to know what i need or what i need to do. I just want something to make this sub loud enough for parties

I have the IXL 18 Just sitting in my closet and i am wanting to put it to use. I was considering using it as a loud speaker for parties and such. Could anyone help me out with this. Like what to power it and such. I am more of a car audio guy so i don't have much experience with these kinds of things.

alright if a ported enclosure wont work how big of a sealed box should i go with

Well i want to use the sub for my car. Its a tahoe so there a lot of room. Also ill have 800 watts rms at 4 ohms .

I am wanting to know what size of a ported box would i need for the 18 IXL if i wanted it to be built to 35hz.
