So I was checking out some more vids of systems today and being bored, and realized how many people have switched over to a woofer designed by Scott, mainly Fi. It seems everyday new videos are being broadcasted with Fi woofers tearing apart daily vehicles, along with competitions being won on local and championship levels. My question to everyone on this forum is, "are we living during the era of the God of Bass?" Just begin to look around the web, I believe the victor is clear. Scott Atwell is the God of Bass. Just want to acknowledge Scott and everyone at Fi for all the hardwork, I know as Fi has been growing I'm sure your hours have been too. Keep up the great work and keep doing what you're doing!! All of us "bassheads really appreciate everything you do" Thanks again for giving me the loudest car on campus. (the kid with the w7 can now kiss my ass.)
  2. not the greatest video but at least shows some roof flex, and gives you an idea of the powering bass toward the end...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2LUGkP1970 working on finding a video camera to use.
  3. yeh, that's kind of a smaller box but it should still sound good, i love the SQ and accuracy and of my Q 15!!
  4. well on another thread there's also a guy that's running an autotek mm1000.1 on two sealed 12" X's. said they sound great on the power and seem to handle it great, he did have to re-glue the tinsel pads though.

yeh man do a phone call, they are quick at building though it will be close, at least it's a fully modded BTL they take a couple extra days.
  6. very nice, what did that amp test at out of the box??? 3000 rms i'm guessing? you can probably put even more on those Q's, if bp power
  7. oh come on man!! go with the one 18!!! i know, i know 4 15's is impressive, big tymers "four 15's didn't see no fire...then i heard BOOM from the amplifiers!!" just got done looking at another thread where a guy hit 154 flat with an 18 btl, not sure what power here's the vid i know it's on a wall and stuff, but if ur not expecting to be as loud as the 4 15's....still don't see how you plan on saving space, that one 18 ported is gonna take a lot of space. i would put it in a 10 cube box. also hair tricks shouldn't be a problem at all. i'm moving massive air with a single 15" Q, although going to attempt hair trick, don't think it will be the best but one 18 no problem!!
  8. wow very impressed from all of the woofers!! great vids and awesome single 18" 154 is damn respectable, but one bl10??????? LOL gotta love telling people you have one ten!!
  9. well, on the first page, there are pictures of the X, look the same as the SSD, slightly different dustcap/cone. also i believe Scott said thermally. and he didn't say they wouldn't handle over their RMS, cause i'm sure they would, especially sealed, he just said don't expect to well overpower them like 2xRMS like the other lines, cause they are not designed for that.
  10. right, the powerbass amps lose tons of power with voltage loss, i've seen 145's on single Q's and BL's running half that power, not saying 145 isn't loud though!!!
  11. i'm using a fosgate p1000-1bd, tested 1230 rms out of the box. of course not getting all that power to it. it's really slamming, but i want to upgrade to something that's closer to 2000 watts, i'm a basshead, and i honestly think after calculations that i'm probably only getting maybe 900 watts to the sub after voltage loss and wiring power loss. the sub seems hungry for more power. of course i got the bp power option.
  12. well yeh that's obvious, but if the subs won't handle all the power he will just go with the SSD's, but if the X's can handle 140-150 over their rms each, then why spend all that extra money?? he would like to utilize all of the amp's power.
  13. my friend wants to put two in his f 350. we just built the box and it came to 1.1 cubic ft per sub after displacement. he just bought and installed a 25 to life fosgate power 1000. it bench tested at 920 watts at 1 ohm. we know were not going to get all that power to the subs but do you think they will be alright?
  14. ABSOLUTELY INSANE!! i love the pic with you at the back of the caddy giving the camera a couple birdies, would love to see this thing in a magazine, it deserves it!! TRULY ONE OF A KIND
  15. nissan sentra?? mitsubushi lancer, and....can't think of the name but i think that new ford SUV is pretty cheap.
  16. hey Steve, not sure who does your site, but I can hook you up with a great guy that's with a great company my clan site has been using for years. www.clanmech.com

I would agree JimJ, but hey it's not my sub. lol at unloading when sub plays under box tuning. a guy has a 15" mtx 9500 in a 8 cuft box. TUNED TO 55HZ!! says well my EQ gets it to play the tones under that so i pound the lows and the higher bass, then has puzzled look after the sub seems to be "laggy" This was at a sound advice who charges big money for installs and stuff and this guy was a full time sales rep. <----another reason why I do my installs myself. oh, and the MTX surround was plenty fine, it could be possible that an object did come in contact with the surround and it was just hard to notice the damage until the woofer finished itself off.
  18. that amp is 720 rms in mono. SSD, the w3 won't even take that much power, you'd need two w3's to take that power. why not a 12" SSD? if you listen to more hip/hop and rap i would highly recommend it to hit some more lows.
  19. what do you mean not totally true? you're saying getting the bp power option would hurt???
  20. i got it so that i could beat on it a little more
  21. a friend has two treo tsx 10's, sealed box. i have a 15 q in 4.8cuft ported. his subs are incredibly accurate and can get really punchy, but i like the bigger sound of my Q. and it's obviously a helluva lot louder. for sound quality i think the Q will sound fuller, but won't be quite as accurate as sealed treo subs. it just depends on what you listen to and what sound you like. one thing for sure that 15 Q will walk all over those TSi's. (i considered treo before purchasing my woofer went back and forth for a couple months, then finally started talking to guys at Fi, ordered, finally heard some Fi's at world db finals, then the decision was clear, it would be very tough to pry me from Fi now.) i can't imagine how good this thing would sound sealed, probably just as accurate as those sealed 10" treos, but it's hard to even explain how much this thing drops in a ported enclosure. if you listen to mostly hip-hop and rap then go ported, if you listen to a lot of rock and more accurate stuff then put it in a sealed box.
  22. Scott is a woofer genius, i built my box exactly how he said and i still can't believe what my system can do on a thousand watts.
  23. not at all man, enjoy lol my 15" Q destroyed a mtx 9500 in a 8 cuft box on 500 more watts! LOL no competition Fi seems to be the best out there!!
  24. lol that's no fun....if i didnt have a sun roof, I would just take down my headliner, and deaden the roof, (figured out it'st he roof rattling on the sunroof, not the sunroof itself.) I just don't want to take down the headliner if i won't be able to get tot he trouble spot. it's a 99 and the headliner is probably quite brittle. well any other suggestions are much appreciated!!
