fully loaded BL? yeh pretty sure you're OK, lots of people on here are putting more then that on a Q. although i'm newer to Fi, I know my stuff as far as car audio, and from what i've seen so far i'd say that thing fully loaded would be fine with 2000 watts.

fosgate t30001bd. it should come out the box closer to 4000 watts, and make those woofers slam!! you can usually find good deals on fosgate amps too, a friend just picked up the power1000 25 to life for 425 msrp 1600

my fosgate was tested at 1230, i got the bp power and not sure if i needed to. i did it cause i'm in a big ported box, but i think it can handle a lot more! i wouldn't sell the amp, at worst you just have to turn the gain down a little. and the SQ is amazing from this woofer, only other woofer i've heard with the same SQ is a treo sub, but it didn't put down near the amount of bass!! 1500 watts should be no problem, especially after you calculate voltage loss, and loss of power through wiring, plenty fine with bp power.

i just got mine installed in a 4.8 cuft ported at 28 hz, this thing is crazy loud for one sub on a thousand watt amp? you can reallyl feel the air moving in the car. LOL i love it. def. go ported, it's also the best SQ i've had from a sub, just can't say enough about it.

lol don't say you wouldn't know you have subs. you would definitely know, it's just that for most people there lows (65 and below) drown out all the mid-bass and and a lot of the mids. SQ just has them all blend together equally and you can hear each dynamic of the music. if you throw eagles-hotel california in and the beginning bass line comes and you can't tell if there's subs, you have a serious hearing issue. sorry not meaning to contradict what your saying, I completely understand what your saying, but not how i would have worded it.

just installed mine today, 15" Q d2 with bp, not sure what kind of powering your putting on it or the box, but mine is freaking nuts for one sub on 1200 watts, well 1230 tested but voltage drop and only 3/4 gain lol my roof flexes close to 3 inches

did the X's have any options and are any built out with them?

ok here's a small comparison. i just switch from two 12" infinity kappa perfects in a dual-chambered sealed box (SQ setup of course) to a 15'' Q with bp in a 4.8 cube ported box to 28 hz. just put it in today and the SQ is much more fuller and pure then the sealed 12's, and you want volume?? well not broken in yet and gain is down a little but i can def. draw attention from a long ways, and afraid of busting the tracks on my sunroof already lol. it's slamming!!! ok, just installed my new 15qd2 with bp today. 4.8 cuft ported at 28 hz...rockford p1000-1bd. yes thing slams louder then i could have imagined. only one problem. i think i will be able to get rid of most of the trunk rattle, but it's the sunroof then driving me nuts. i need to get an sd card reader to load some pics and vids from my phone... every time i start playing some really low notes, the sunroof starts banging so bad that's about all i hear inside. anyone have this issue or know how to fix it? any ideas would be great! oh yes it's a 99' infiniti i30.

never seen something like that happen, but i have seen surrounds rip, but only on stock speakers that have been used for about 10 years, and the foam surround around the cone falls apart presenting what looks like a tear. this is why you don't touch the woofer when playing and all that good stuff, bad things happen. surrounds are cheap though and easy to re-do yourself, i've done it.

just curious, as i am a fosgate amp lover, what did your t40001bd's test out of the box? and i'd love to hear it, too bad you weren't at the db finals in tamps last weekend, but i did hear jon's van it's pretty sick!!

extremely, i've owned and used two infinity svc 12 perfect vq's. i've tried two, i've done one, and one in a sealed box on 650 watts sounded amazing. but i have not heard the fi Q. ordering one today. since ur looking at a ten, i think that you might want to go with the Q, more power and a little more output. although i loved my infinity's, i do think there is better out there which is why i'm ordering a 15" Q to replace my two kappa perfects.

very nice!, all extremely loud, favorites had to be the 16 ssd's, the 36 orion P's, and the 12 15" T3's. can't wait to get my Fi 15" Q
