Blow-through in my bagged 95 fullsize chevy
Well I want my back seat again so Im doing a blow through. I have a bagged 95 ext cab chevy. My sub is an 18" BTL and my amp is a Kicker KX2500.1. I have dual optimas and 0 gauge wire. Batteries and amp will be hidden under the rear seat. Heres what im starting with Box Design(I put the sub on the other side How the front will look The truck Now I wanted to sound deaden it really bad (RaaMat) since everything is torn out, but it wasnt in the funds($400 for the kit)..I have some stuff that I will throw on the back wall to reienforce it and next spring Ill get it done. Night 1(Tuesday). Tore the entire thing apart, didnt break a single clip, pretty proud of that. The seat turned out really good IMO..need to get a few more cans of the duplicolor fabric paint. It doesnt feel the greatest, but until I can find a leather seat it will fit in nicely. The black carpet will be here tomorrow, but not going in until after paint. Im not going to pull the headliner, just spray it in there since everything is going to be gutted. less work and less chance of messing it up. The rear seat will work nicely, plenty of room for the blow through, batteries fit nicely under the seat, as well as the amp. Ill put a board under the seat to cover everything up. A knock of of mannie fresh..1 18 aint see no wires, then I heard boom from the amplifier..should be clean as hell Pictures when i started, pulled the seat clean carpet.black going in when i get the truck back from paint no more box. can see what was left from my rear window when it shattered what i had to use 2 reach the side screws holding the box down.ghetto sub and amp compared to a 12 oz can getting it gutted Seat..still needs a few coats but its way better then a stained grey seat

Help me design a blowthrough for my 95 ext cab chevy..18" BTL
Thanks a bunch for the pictures...Well Ive been thinking and the only way i can make it work is slant the sub or make it downfireing...Here is a rough drawing i made up... The bottom slot will be about 5-6" tall and run the length of the box. The left side will be just open air that is below the sub..the right side will be the port. How much room do i need between the bottom baffle and the sub surround? will 5" be alright? heres a super rouch sketch of what im thinking about..

Help me design a blowthrough for my 95 ext cab chevy..18" BTL
I think I have about 18" even from floor to top of the rails. I will have to measure the width and how deep I can go. I just have to be able to clear the tubs and the notch cover. The truck is in the paint booth right now so it will take me a little time to get that. Thanks a bunch.

Help me design a blowthrough for my 95 ext cab chevy..18" BTL
well I really miss my back seat. Right now I have a false floor and a box back there. I want to do a blow through really bad. I dont know how to make the box though. The sub is an 18" Fi Audio BTL. I cant mount it vertically because the sub is taller then the bed. It will have to be at some type of an angle. Then I run into the problem of how to make the actual box and how it comes into the cab.Any help would be awesome and if someone could draw up something really nice there could be some cash involved. Right now im running around 7 cubes and ported to 31 hz..I want it to be tuned low cuz it kills the lows with the 18"..Thanks for the help. Here is what it looks like right now. And the truck..It has a tonneau cover on it now and its getting painted flat black as we speak.

just an update..ended up blowing the rear window out the other day..got a new one put in and he put a thicker bead around the window to isolate it a little better. Coming up this spring The entire truck will be RaaMmat'd so that will help with all of the flex i get..Im also working on a box for a blow through..Im just havin a hard time tryin to fit the sub in the bed because it cant be vertical due to the size..if anyone has experience with blow throughs or could help me with a box that would be great.

Video of the sub..about half on the bass knob..realized that afterward Just another of the inside Vid of the bags.. And how my truck is now..Gotta drive it through the fricken winter...
