Richard Dyke founded the Bushmaster brand of AR's in Windham, Maine, and eventually sold the brand to a large conglomerate in 2006. The conglomerate shut down the factory in Maine and relocated production elsewhere. A lot of AR enthusiasts seem to agree the Bushmaster reputation for incredibly high quality product went to shit after the sell off. In 2011, Dyke bought the original Bushmaster plant and has started turning out AR using the same machines, same stock of metal, even some of the original employees, under the name Windham Weaponry.
