Had to reread these with a fresh brain. BOO. Frozen marg's are a waste and your liquor to mixer quantities are really weak. Too much sweet and not enough booze. Try: Rocks glass full of ice Juice one lime 2 shots tequila .5 shot/splash of Cointreau Sweet syrup to taste. none is necessary with good limes, but we sure the fuck rarely get those. Kind of chuckled because my frozen marg recipe is just my standard on the rocks recipe, diluted down with water to ~10-11% ABV, about the same as a standard highball like whiskey and coke, rum and coke, etc.: Juice of 1 lime 3 oz. (2 shots) of tequila 1 oz. (1 pony shot) triple sec/orange liqueur Sugar or syrup to taste Pretty similar, eh?

Like they say when cooking with wine: "don't use anything you wouldn't drink". I don't buy any booze that I can't sip straight. That being said I typically don't buy anything that costs more than 25 bucks for a 1.75 L bottle, either. Agavales Silver/Gold, Sauza Silver/Gold/Blue, Canadian Mist, Benchmark #8, Rebel Yell, Old Crow, George Dickel, Diplomatico, Flor de Cana, Mount Gay, and Cruzan are my current go-tos.
