  1. might not be much of a price difference between this and picking up a Yeti at their outlet center, looks like.
  2. I'm just thinking out loud though, feel free to stop me if I go a bit mad.
  3. More or less XPS --> Cloth and resin --> "Milkshake" --> Bedliner. Might opt to spray a few layers of enamel over it since bedliner comes in any color you want, so long as its black. Kind of defeats the purpose of a "cooler".
  4. I'm presuming your doing this for a fridge/cooler, so I'm not sure this advice would help, but when I did the audio panels I found that using 3/4 oz chopped mat made everything easier. I had to use a bit more layers, but getting all the contours down was way easier. I was thinking of using 10 oz. woven cloth with epoxy resin, basically the same as you would a boat/canoe/kayak, then spray the whole thing with bedliner. Should be plenty durable I would think.
  5. sounds easier than the method I used last time I fiberglassed something
  6. Milkshake you say? Some sick bastard must have thought up that name.
  7. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~74519~PN~1 never seen someone mix Evercoat and resin together; Adrian, Sean, Tirefryr, anyone else with fiberglass experience, thoughts?
  8. I need to read up on fiberglassing again, mind's a bit rusty on the subject
  9. crazy bastards

  13. oh lord my blade geek is showing
  14. need to get a nice, thick forged 5160 or 52100 steel scimitar or machete to crack some skulls around here, yeeesh
  15. whether or not the two are etymologically related, I dunno
  16. bartenders use it like carpenters use jigs: to make the same measurement over and over and over again without having to actually measure it
  17. or its the tool itself which is used to measure alcohol
  18. a jigger is 1.5 oz usually
  19. Family was talking about the Yeti/Igloo Yukon coolers, and it got me wondering: how would a fiberglass cooler compare to a standard polypropylene/ethylene/urethane cooler in terms of abuse? Figured I could make one with XPS and fiberglass for a fourth to a fifth the price of those things, if only for shits and giggles.
  20. plenty of oil and natural gas jobs right now
