Agreed. The issue isn't that they are completely harmless; the issue is that cannabis, psilocybin, mescaline/peyote, LSD, DMT, MDMA and a host full of other drugs I can't recall at this point have been proven in multiple experiments and clinical trials to be no more addictive or harmful to your body than alcohol or tobacco. Legalization based on that logic alone is fairly sound, in my opinion. If that isn't enough, there's alleviating the overburdened legal and penal systems, and the tax revenue from regulation. Oh and you know those Mexican cartels? The profits from selling marijuana across the border is the reason they're able to also have cocaine, heroine, methamphetamine, human trafficking, and gun running businesses. But no, we have to be moral and unrighteous and SAY NO TO DRUGS! What a crock of shit.
