2,200 HP on a 50 foot boat...fucking christ

According to my parents their latex is no hotter than the coil spring one they replaced. I've had 3 (I think) different relatives get the memory foam mattresses, all returned them for not dissipating heat. I've only had the pleasure of transporting a memory foam topper in cold weather, can't imagine moving an entire mattress out of that shit, good god...

I'd guess so. $300-500 for a queen isn't enough. 300-500 after haggling, I should say $800 bucks sticker price should last about 5-6 years max. But the foam will be lower quallity and you will see the depressions fast. How did the depressions in the pillowtop cause issues? misalignment on the back, hips, and/or knees; two of said pillowtops my parents got were ~$1000 (half off sticker) and also had the same cratering issues after less than 3 years Was it a simmons? One a Simmons, the other a Sealy. The Sealy in fact was recalled due to structural issues, basically the entire middle of the bed would slowly cave in; they got one of their latex model for the price of their pillowtop out of the deal and haven't looked back

I dunno, maybe we're buying the wrong brands? So far we've had Restonic, Sealy, Serta, Stearn's & Foster, and King Koil. The pillowtops cratered, none of the tight tops nor the latex ones have

I sleep on one too. My roomate does, there is one in my spare bedroom. Another old roomate got one too. 2 friends got one from me also, and then their parents did. 2/3 of the guys who I sold beds with do too. Sweet, glad to hear that. Did you sell them before? I sold quite a bit..... maybe 15% of my sales(by volume) were from their product. That says a lot as their price isn't the lowest. I believed in what they made when I was selling beds. Do you still feel the same way about them? I honestly don't know the new line up. I would look at them first if I was shopping again though. Are you still happy with your bed? I love mine, helps with joint pain nicely. It's about 8 years old so it's seen better days. But no reason to change it up yet. Still comfy as can be, I give it another few years barring any real bad dammage. A working box spring helps a lot I think. I've always liked the slatted bed bases myself

What was the problem? Between the half dozen pillowtops we've had, all of them had them had the same problem: the pillowtop itself stopped springing back. So basically instead of being flat there's a bunch of craters in the pillowtop. Not the mattress itself, just the pillowtop. Other than cosmetically was there a problem? Definitely not just cosmetic

Budget wise I don't get it, but maybe you've seen toppers that are a better deal. Warning on mattress shopping. No reason really to ever pay more than 30-35% of retail MSRP. Just bought Aidan a new Twin XL that retailed for $589 for $167. Hmmm, I suppose I need to take the little lady and go mattress shopping. We gotta do the same when we get home. J Any salesman/mattress store worth their salt will readily sell you a mattress for half off MSRP; a good one will give you two thirds off

And you're right, anything short of two thirds off MSRP is a rip-off

memory foam toppers actually work rather well, but if your mattress is old (8 years or older) you might as well save up and get a new one
