Well I almost smoked it the whole way...plateau is a motherfucker...I got tired babysitting the damned thing...I think I'll abstain from any BBQ chicanery until I get a BGE + Stoker...

Just don't get it too hot and be patient you'll be fine. So far with hourly babysitting I've been able to keep the cooker at ~230; pecan wood is burning good

Picked up one of these with a pair of pliers & vice we bent the leg holders upwards (sorta resembles one of those vertical rib cooker things) so now we can fit two briskets on the smoker
