  5. snow drifts in a Corolla are quite interesting, BTW
  6. for a good part of last week Lubbock, Texas was colder (not including wind chill, obviously) than Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Philly, et al

  11. They took out Manning and a bunch of the starters, so they tanked the game. So they really didn't care about a pefect record. The team cared about the perfect record but the coach didnt, he was worried about starters not getting hurt in a meaningless regular season game. Good decision, IMO; they've already clinched division and the first seed, no need to play their most important players more than they have to...
  12. turkey, ham, dressing, pie, and bourbon and dr pepper tonight, good deal of semi drunken wii action too so it was fun+++ multiple christmas parties are the shit yo
  13. so I got surprised with a 32" Panasonic Viera LCD from my parents last night "only" a 720p/1080i model but it is head and shoulders above my current 19" CRT units I have been using for the past 15 some odd years, and it is one of the coolest Christmas presents I have ever gotten, so I'm not complaining :horse:

  18. Bacon gravy > Sausage gravy if you ask me
  19. buttermilk pancake batter, obviously
  20. throwing the pancake batter in there really makes it out of this world, IMO
  21. Well, if you think about it, it is; taters, cheese, bacon, you can add chives, substitute home made pico de gallo for the hot sauce, etc. etc. egg scrambles
  22. I normally use a thoroughly washed Russett; don't even bother with skinning it, just run it through a grater like a block of cheddar
  23. well what happens is when you run a tater through a grater its quite soupy, so I just throw it in a hand towel, ball that up and ring it out like a sponge; works great for onions as well can be used with a salad spinner too I spose
  24. Steak dinner last night and another planned for Christmas night; two steak dinners in four nights probably BBQ for lunch at least once in between I made sure to eat some oatmeal for breakfast today "just to be on the safe side"
  25. a "eggs, shredded and rung out potatoes, cheese, diced up bacon, salt, hot sauce, and a dollop of pancake batter" scramble; quite easy to make in a large batch, actually
