I had a horrible car wreck when I was 17 and my back has not been right since. I was in a pretty bad wreck when I was 15 and I don't think that it helped at all. Thank god I was wearing my seat belt, one of my best friends wasn't and he hasn't walked since. WEAR YOUR GOD DAMN SEAT BELT. I can guarantee I would have easily exited the vehicle when I had my wreck....worked pretty damned well for me... of course I basically t-boned a 5,000 pound Dodge going 65 ish so your mileage may vary
