I feel very sorry for your car. BTW, you live in Texas why the hell wouldn't you buy summer tires? Believe it or not it quite regularly gets to near freezing, freezing, and below freezing temperatures in the winter...not enough to warrant a dedicated set of winter tires obviously, but still bad juju for summer tires...plus all seasons seem to last longer... I drove the old yoko paradas through 2 winters here in MN. Not saying it was smart... but there isn't shit in texas that would scare me. not even Houston soccer moms scared shitless driving 3 ton SUVs on icy roads for the first time in their lives?

i guess it's pretty hard to go wrong with michelins or bfgs! from my experience this is pretty dadgum true. I'm kinda leaning towards the A/S Plus' 45,000 mile warranty, but really and truly between BFG, Michelin, Yoko, (maybe Kumho or General, I've heard some good things about their performance tires, nothing as definitive as the first three I mentioned however), I don't really think I can go wrong...but for now, the (brand spanking new) Pirelli's that were on the car when I bought it will suffice just find. Only forseeable "problems" are finding the right motor oil when its time for an oil change and a wiper blade. Never have I seen a car with just a single wiper blade before, its pretty neat. Trivial things really...

definitely love my Michelin's....probably go with the Pilot Sport A/S Plus' when I wear out the Pirelli's though....

destroy? you mean physically destroy? as in not having the proper speed rated tires on will break something in the suspension? Ice and snow are almost a non issue, I just thought the softer compounds on the summer tires would turn into a rock solid no grip holy shit situation in freezing/near freezing conditions...

I was always told to not drive summer tires in near freezing or freezing temperatures....matter of fact I think you told me that as well...*head explodes*

I know mostly nothing of performance tires...probably should learn though...seeing as I now have an E55....heh....at the very least I know I'm definitely not buying summer tires for it...ever...all seasons or none at all as far as I am concerned...

We've currently got 3 sets of Kumho's between the Z71, Accent, and the Corolla. Used to be 4 before the accident. Damn good tires for the money. Suburban is on its second set of Micheline LTX M/S's, tough as nails and lasts a helluva long time...

It's the same with plywood. Aside from a worm drive, no circular saws really have enough power to safely use the "plywood" blades. I must have gotten lucky with mine then...or something...

if the carbide ones are too expensive, steel or high speed steel will work too...so long as its a 72 or an 80 or a 100 tooth blade you'll be fine

Circular saw with the right blade would work any recomendations on good blades from my experience something with 80 teeth or more and carbide tips usually works pretty damn good
