If you were looking for a truck around $7000 +/- what would you look for? I had it at a Tacoma or a Ranger, but the T100 popped up local here. Truck truck? I say just add beefy tires (BF Goodrich's All-Terrain T/A & Mud-Terrain T/A, Hankook's Dynapro ATM RF10 & Dynapro MT RT03, Mickey Thompson's Baja ATZ & Baja MTZ, Nitto's Terra Grappler, Pro Comp's All Terrain, Mud Terrain, Xtreme All Terrain, & Xtreme Mud Terrain; Toyo's Open Country A/T & Open Country M/T, et al) and a rear locker/limited slip to whatever 4WD pickup or SUV you like and you'll be sitting pretty. 1996-Present Toyota Tacomas with the TRD package, 2005-Present Nissan Frontiers with the NISMO/PRO-4X package, 2005-Present Nissan Xterras with the Off Road Package, and several other models come from the factory with either a locker or limited slip in the rear if you don't want to mess with the axle.
