  1. Still front wheel drive though
  2. Much more within the realm of possibility would be a low option low miles 05 or 06 Frontier or Tacoma
  3. the new 09's do yes, but I'm talking used. Not really concerned about exciting as much as I am about reliability and price. Which is why I listed them as Pipe Dream cars, because the only way I'd be getting one is if I got an amazing deal on a, say, 01-03 model with low miles. Not really within the realm of possibility, but I can dream
  4. Infiniti G or Infiniti FX might be more attainable than a Mercedes or a BMW, but I still file it under Pipe Dream
  5. maybe I should just go with a black 1976 Trans Am T top?
  6. automobile selection in the US sucks
  7. would really love one of those diesel Mahindra pickups or a diesel Subaru, neither of which are coming stateside until either late next year, or 2011
  8. laid up with this injury has me pondering crazy thoughts of my new set of wheels: Pipe Dream: E46 series Bimmer or W203 series Mercedes; only if they are reliable (I know nothing of German autos) and I can snag a hellacious deal on one (highly doubtful for this region, but then again, you never know); anything designated as a Sports Car (insurance reasons) Much More of a Reality: Crown Vic/Grand Marquis/Town Car, Caprice, 300C/Charger, S-10, another Ranger, Dakota, Tacoma, Frontier, Subaru SomethingOrOther Probably missing a bunch of others I need to check out; Only autos I'll ever buy are of the RWD persuasion
  9. Dan Wesson Razorback mmm
  10. Got a craving for carrots? If you ask for pickles next we'll know your pregnant. Hospital mess up had them telling the insurance company I was in the hospital for "Maternity" :wacky:
  11. Wouldn't mind building my own, just have to find out names of manufacturers and suppliers for 9mm or 38 super barrels/barrel conversion kits
  12. lol...kimber stainless target II not fancy??? <--- total noob when it comes to brands
  13. in other news iTunes still sucks but my sister seems to be enjoying her Touch
  14. now I have 1911's on the brain....nothin too fancy, I'm liking the Kimber Stainless Target II in .38 Super; needs different looking grips but that's easily fixed
  15. Made it to the Slipknot/Coheed & Cambria/Trivium show last night, broken leg or no. Pretty interesting turn of events Escorted to the front of the line and then to the specially designated handicapped section, front row, slightly off to the left Number 6 came off the stage during the show, gave me and the other gimpies a big hand shake and handed each of us a pair of drumsticks (squee!) A police officer escorted me out of the building via one of the fire corridors as soon as the show ended Waiting for valet parking after the show (cheaper than parking lot parking at this venue) one of the show goers gives me a guitar pick from Number 4 (squee!) Wheelchairs are the bomb diggity yo
  16. Unit #1 was a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 1500 4x4 (Couldn't have been going more than 15MPH at the time of impact) Units #3 and #4 are a 1998 Dodge Ram towing a trailer (Couldn't have been going more than 15MPH at the time of impact) Unit #2 was me, going ~60 before slamming on the brake pedal.
  17. I'll show ye weak! *pops another Norco and shakes fist* haha! those are trouble, i avoid pain killers like the plague. but it sounds like you actually have some injuries that warrant the pain killers. Doctors said 1 to 2 pills every 4 to 6 hours, I'm only on 3 a day and I'm just south of Loony Tunes
  18. Nope, no airbag deployment, hit came from more or less between the driver's side turn signal and driver's side fender flare, far away from the airbag sensors on the front bumper
  19. Not even gonna bother trying to waste SSA's bandwidth, so Pics O'Plenty here: (Anywhere from PG-13 to R depending on how much you like Robin Williams levels of hairiness) http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a269/Penguin4x4/Wreck/ These pictures of Silver still make me stomach turn :soapbox: By god she went out fighting like a champ though, and no one can say otherwise

  21. Popping in and saying howdy y'all Long story short: I was involved in a car accident around 7PM CST Thursday February 19th. Not my fault, nor is there any dispute on who was at fault by anyone involved or by workers at the scene (EMS, Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Highway Patrol, Memorial Hermann Life Flight, et al). I had my seat belt on. Silver did not make it Due largely to legal reasons, what little juicy details I can give are: I had a clean fracture of both the tibia and fibula on the right leg. The toenail on my right big toe is now gone. Moderate amount of bruising all over my right foot and ankle, bruised the bottom of the left foot and another bruise on my left knee. Paramedics on scene had me Life Flight'd to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center; Level I Trauma Centers ftmfw No cast, just a titanium rod and four screws. Talked with at least 3 orthopedic surgeons during my time there, basically if my foot wasn't all screwed up I could probably put a decent amount of weight on it right now; crazy shit. They released me around 7PM last night and I'm getting better by the hour I only spent five and a half years with my truck. Rain or shine, ice, snow or sleet, she never let me down, not once. She gave her life protecting mine, and I miss her more and more every day. R.I.P. Silver :sadwavey: :sadwavey:
